  1. Actually there are issues recently too. I saw her speak off camera on a show she was taping ad she said if a certain black man on the set could not be seen if he stood next to the blackboard which was on the set. An African American woman is suing a restaurant she co-owes with her brother for racially charged behavior and she wanted to plan a wedding ala a plantation motif with all the servers being African-American. I do believe her apology is sincere and so do many others inc. Jesse Jackson. Just have to wait and see how this developers.
  2. Shari: Thanks for the concern. You are correct in that its not the right time now. Who knows when? Kashmir in India is supposed to be beautiful too but its a hot spot as well so its to be avoided. I recall my wife telling me how pretty Kashmir is but she saw it many yrs. ago when times were different.
  3. Shari that cruise was amazing for the chance to see Israel. Too bad about Egypt but I think it may be better to tour there from a land based vacation. Perish the thought. :D
  4. In this country it seems to me that if a person makes a mistake, even a big mistake and seems truly remorseful that eventually that person will be forgiven. Just don't do it again. I think in time she will be back.
  5. We always get travel insurance from insure my trip dot com. You enter your particulars and get a large menu of plans from many insurance companies like AIG, John Hancock, Amer. Express and others. Each has a range of plans. The higher the cost the more it includes in the plan. We used AE last yr. at a cost of $300.00 to insure a trip costing $5800.00. We were forced to buy new airline tickets from Madrid to Chicago when our return was cancelled by super storm Sandy and UA could not get us back for 6 more days. This extra fare, about $2300.00' was fully reimbursed by AE.
  6. Great to hear Dee. Alaska is truly a great destination. I am glad you enjoyed it so.
  7. So what am Indoing now? Oh just watching my recording of the last nights last two minutes. Just can't get enough!

  8. So I think today I may, just may do some shopping for just a few Blackhawks 2013 Stanley Cup CHAMPIONSHIP souvenirs. :D

  9. Had a great dinner out with Jay and Albrey and Q in Chicago. Thanks guys!

  10. One more! GO HAWKS!!

  11. Wow!! Great news on being so luckyto win the upgrade. I am glad you had a nice time. I hope to try Azamara one day. Cheers, Larry
  12. Shari: actually our Holy land cruise became altered twice d/t local politics. We were originally supposed to go to Alexandria but that got cancelled because of the political issues there at that time. Celebrity added 2 more days in Israel instead by adding two days in Haifa as well as the two in in Ashdod. Then the night before we were to dock in Ashdod that was cancelled d/t rocket attacks there from Gaza so we had to go straight to Haifa way up north. Our guide took us to the Dead Sea and Masada and on the way back we saw several Israeli Merkava main battle tanks heading to the Gaza area.
  13. I think what is so riveting about the Hawks-Bruins match is that its anyone's series. There is no clear team that is better. It could go either way, unlike the MJ Bulls who you knew we're going to win. That's why I am glued to every second of this match, just to see how it will turn out, how it will unfold. For me this is sports viewing at its best.

  14. Is that for health reasons and how long can lobster be kept frozen safely?
  15. Great advice indeed. Also as this how we got picked in Vegas be careful of someone coming up to you and striking up a conversation and distracting you while an accomplice picked my wife's wallet from her purse.
  16. Well the Equinox has to be our fav ship but as for ports that's a tough one. We've been on 3 med cruises and one to the holy land which has med ports. It's close but for the sheer richness of history it has to be Israel. Part of that choice is having a licensed guide in Israel which exponentially enhanced our experience. A close second for us is Istanbul which sadly now is in turmoil. It's a great city to see and it's hard to imagine that lovely section, Taksim, being besieged by rioters. Actually most ports are really nice. Rome is a gem too but for me my choices above do the most for me. Cool topic too!
  17. Well it's 2-2 baby!

  18. Marmol blows another. Cubs up 3-0 in bottom ninth and he gives up 4 runs. Just can't put him in that role anymore.

  19. OMG! Another OT. Boston just hit the post. I need therapy!

  20. Well that seems like a great idea. I have been looking into Asian cruises and I think one of them may be our next cruise.
  21. Seems like a steep price for 26 lbs. of lobster meat. With all the money they have to reimburse that's got to be the costliest lobster ever. :D
