Brilliance has put on her new Face and is ready to sail!
Sarge6870 replied to Jan115's topic in Royal Caribbean
WOW Jan!!! I've been watching the Brilliance via MarineTraffic and all it was showing was the ship going back and forth between ports. It's done? That was quicker than expected! Thought it wasn't supposed to be done until between the 23rd and 26th of May! But I'm with you....Looking forward to cruising the Brilliance in November!!!!! -
And with my upcoming cruise in November on the Brilliance of the Seas, I'm working on more as well as another report from Paradise Beach!!! Paradise Beach and the staff that work there do all then can to insure a great time for the visitors. Special thanks go out to Krista & Memo of Paradise Beach for their warm reception and cooperation given to me and CruiseCrazies in making sure the Live Chat went off flawlessly. Thanks for the praises fellow passengers

This is a video interview (uploaded to YouTube) I did with Memo (one of the managers of Paradise Beach) on the day I hosted the Live Chat from Cozumel for the Crazies on 5/4/2013. I am still learning the editing of my new camera and software so in the future I will be uploading a better and more lengthy version.

And The Bad Press For Carnival Continues........
Sarge6870 replied to Sarge6870's topic in Let's Talk Cruise!
UPDATE: As being reported today via USAtoday, it seems the mans girlfriend jumped overboard and he followed her 20 seconds later as reviled by the onboard camera footage. The search has been called off and the couple presumed dead at this point. Not sure if he was trying to save her or not but it seems it would have made more sense to call the pursers desk and announce "Man Overboard". They would have contacted the bridge and the vessel would have stopped and there would have been a chance of saving her. By him just going in after her, very little chance. The complete story via the USAtoday site can be found here........ http://www.usatoday.com/story/cruiselog/2013/05/10/carnival-cruise-missing-passengers/2149385/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TP-TheCruiseLog+%28Travel+-+The+Cruise+Log%29&utm_content=My+Yahoo -
What Is Your Favorite Embarkation Port? (Poll)
Sarge6870 replied to Sarge6870's topic in Let's Talk Cruise!
For me, I chose Tampa, FL. as our favorite so far. We have sailed from N.Y. , Miami (YUCH), Ft. Lauderdale and Port Canaveral. So far, with a 10 minute terminal to ship time, Tampa, FL. is the winner -
We always talk about ships, cruise lines, destinations etc. here on CruiseCrazies. But what are some of our favorite embarkation ports? There are so many to choose from. But do we decide on a cruise using the embarkation port as one of the deciding factors? Tell the rest of us why!!! Sound off Crazies...........

A massive search is underway for a young couple missing from a Carnival cruise ship. The unnamed 26-year-old woman and 30-year-old man were last seen on the Carnival Spirit on Wednesday as it was sailing off the coast of Australia, and local authorities says security footage from the ship shows them going overboard around 8:50 pm. An Australian news outlet, The Australian, quotes a local police official as saying it's too early to say whether the couple fell or jumped off the vessel. In a statement sent to USA TODAY, Carnival's Australia office says the couple was discovered missing early today after the ship docked in Sydney, Australia at the end of a 10-night sailing. A search of the vessel was begun immediately, it says. "We have naturally been concerned since we became aware that two passengers were missing from Carnival Spirit, and our thoughts are clearly with their families at this difficult time," the statement says. "We are working closely with New South Wales Police and assisting them in their inquiries." The statement says the couple were traveling with family and friends, and "out of respect for the families," the company won't be making further comment for now. A statement from the local New South Wales police department says an air and marine search and rescue operation is underway off the coast of Australia to find the couple. The search is focusing on an area of the sea about 60 nautical miles east of Forster, Australia, the statement says. SOURCE: USAtoday

Was great having you in on the live chat from Cozumel Shon!!! You had Krista (manager of Paradise Beach) crying with laughter!!!

I agree with the fact that the story would not have made the media reports if it wasn't Carnival. I also agree that ALL the cruiselines should not release a ship for passenger transportation (new or refurbished) until it is 100% completed. They can do a trial run to their intended homeport. With between 900 and 1000+ crew onboard, I'm sure on the way to their homeport without passengers, they could tweak out the bugs to get it squared away for their first passenger cruise. I would rather wait 3 or 4 weeks longer for a fully functional vessel then to sail on a ship that was still under construction!!!

Thanks for making it easier to digest Kevin!!! NOT!!!! By the way, Jackie never made the cruise....... -
Let me start off by saying...THIS REALLY STINKS!!!! 5 days of no work, no T.V. , no news, no phone calls, no cooking, no cleaning and I can go on and on. I sat here all day saying "yesterday at this time I was doing ...... on the ship". I watched the Jewel via MarineTraffic.com leave Tampa for it's next voyage. My dog and birds are glad to be home and are sticking to me like I'm a magnet. Chrissy was sleeping most of the day because we were up late at the shops onboard for the final night and were up at 5am this morning for the sail in. I go back to work tomorrow and reality is going to hit me like I ran into a brick wall! Gotta try to get out of this funk and concentrate on our next sailing on the Brilliance in November. WAAAAAA !!!!

Thank you for this honor. We all contribute to the Crazies site which is why we are becoming the greatest family friendly cruise community on the internet. In my latest cruise, I had spoken to people that were sick and tired of that other C.C. site so I invited them to come here where the air is clear, the seas are calm and the passengers are always willing to help. I wrote down the site for people so many times my pen ran out of ink!!! The Live Chat was extremely exciting for me. To be able to present the cruise and destination in real time was great. We all make CruiseCrazies a great site!! Being a member here is like being on a constant cruise -
This was pics from our 5 day cruise and were lucky enough to have Rose(sailingrose) with us in the cabin right next to us (and it wasn't even planned).
