Am not sure how this works or where to write my reply. Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome. We are Lauren and John from Hattiesburg Ms. Our great loves are our English Bulldogs, Miss Heather Rose and Sir Brutus Jones and our cruises. To follow up... on the mercury cruise.. i had the opportunity to discuss this matter with our Maître d' As it turned out they were having meetings that week with a corporate official.. and one of the topics was the "correct" procedure for dealing with guests who violate the dress policy... he said that most of the staff wish the guests would not wear jeans at night and agree with traditional guidelines.. they also said that although they disagree with the new standard of sporty casual.. they did see where it was a better alternative than to allow jeans.. more people are willing to abide by the casual than were willing to adhere to informal nights.. so i left my week long discussion believing that jeans will be actively discouraged at night..

We see that cruises can be extended or shortened because of mechanical problems weather situations.. and other reasons..The ramifications of these changes can be so much more than an extended vacations.. missed airline connections.. rescheduling hotels and stays If you have ever been on a cruise that was extended or shortened how did this effect you? or If this hasn't happened to you.. what precautions would you take in case of a missed embarkation or disembarkation?

Great Question!! For us it would be the spending thing.. I keep promising myself I/we will hold our OB charges down.. but each cruise I find myself saying.. if you want it get it!
