  1. yes............................................................................. ................................. Money
  2. Howard for us Casual has always been ... slacks and a sport shirt.. as long as it had a collar and sleeves.. Informal for us meant a suit or jacket and Tie Formal meant a Tux That is how we perceived it...
  3. I hope your right... but right now We will be in "Wait and See mode".... if it turns out postive ....then no harm no foul!!
  4. Joe that is the problem .. not only are they allowing /relaxing the dress code they are also eliminating "Specialty Dining" which was a favorite.. no doubt next to come is "Anytime dining".. if these things come to pass.. we will abandon cruise vacations all together...we can take the amount of money we are spending on our cruises and do an outstanding job on land vacations... longer more upscale and cheaper... It is very possible our "Connie" cruise may be our last... especially if ther are no lines to offer what we enjoy...Here is an excerpt of what was in the new Captains club news letter..
  5. Ain't that the truth ..and we wouldn't miss it for the world ...Jeans or not!!
  6. Ray.. Wow.....an extremely exciting trip!!
  7. great points Steve...... there is one TA in San Diego that we booked a cruise with ONCE and had to cancel... she charged me 50 bucks and said "we will credit you if you book again within a year" i thought... nah that is ok...
  8. is the correct answer cause YOU Zapped all the good looks from your parents??
  9. It may become a reality where we sail less often but on upscale lines... And Deb it shouldn't this would be an individual decision.. obviously we all cruise for different reasons... one of the big reason we cruise is the over all ambiance in the evenings ... we love to see people dressed... we love to dress.. without the clothes its just another cruiseline... you know? JMO
  10. yes... Jeans in the dining room IN THE EVENING is not the expierence we choose to have (wearing or watching others..).. so yeah Maria .. I guess we would...
  11. it is .. but when you sail longer cruises it IS a deal breaker...at least for us
  12. So guys who do you suggest we move up to next? Because if this doesnt change we will be done with celebrity..
  13. we did on the century... but we just had a sky suite... so our was more of a token.. but Arlis was there still serving afternoon tea and coffees.. and brought us cocktails on specific evenings.. it was CUTE!!!
  14. No matter what your position If you are a celebrity fan and want to express your feelings directly to Royal Caribbean / Celebrity then please take the time to let them know... and if you are a share holder NOW would be a good time to speak up! For email concerns about the dress code changes send them to: web_cruise_comments @ rccl.com (of course tighten up any spaces... like after the s in "comments" and after the @) Then if you are inclined to send a formal letter those are snail mailed to : Celebrity Attn: Public Relations P.O. Box 025511 Miami, FL 33102-5511
  15. These are the changes Celebrity has implemented regarding dress codes for sailing after August 1, 2008 how do you feel about it?
  16. do you purchase the insurance? I have to. Too many things can go wrong at the last minute and I would be out everything. Insurance is a good thing especially for last minute cancelations...
