    If you don't care about ocean/sea fresh air in your stateroom .. and no windows don't bother you...and you don't care upgraded linens.. then by all means downgrade and save the money.... the outside and veranda cabins get to the ports the same time inside staterooms do... good luck..     The way the cruise lines and others "hide" fees .. A casual cruiser probably would even notice... Alaska isn't a inexpensive cruise to Begin with....mho

    Our only experience was last year when they closed both FLL and MIA Airports... I was freaking out... (some may remember) the one thing it did teach me was the value of Insurance for our cruises..
