the ship arrives at 7:00 ish am I would put a guestatment that you should be on land by 8:30am at the latest if you needed to be.... We are here until 11 pm .... also in addition to the buses you may want to look into the rail..... train service is supposed to be pretty good... joey

Hi Nevada...to be honest with you in our opinion it's totally up to you... David and I have been on a crowded ship but were so alone we didn't notice.. It is all about what you want to do... tables for two are a must for us.. we also get the verandah.... the few people we do see or speak to are normally when in line for the dinning room our other foods thru out the day.. the staff it self and occasionally people on the elevator.. so you can be as romantic or as party or any type of attitude or experience you want..its really is up to you! Royal Caribbean has interests for people of all ages .. especially with the new on board activities thru out the line .. it is geared more toward the active young person... depending on what your interests are would really determine whether or not you and your Friend would be bored... If you go to Europe.. then one way of looking at it is it's you hotel and restaurant all in one... Good luck in your planning....maybe if you could post what your guys do so your not bored .. then maybe I or someone else here could help stir you in that direction! Joey

Hi Mo, Dont worry a bit , we were all "virgins" at one time or another..... First Welcome to CruiseCrazies .. Glad you stopped by... Cruising is a personal thing... as far as what you want and how you want to expierence it.. some cruiselines advertise themself as "fun" others offer "service" and others claim to be "family" oriented.. so it all depends on the type of expierence you are looking for.. A Travel Agent isnt a bad way to go, But be aware just because a person is a travel Adgent doesn't mean they know what they are doing .. just like anything else there are good ones and bad ones.. My best advice to you is ASK ALOT of questions.. and even sometimes ask the same question to different people to see if you get the same answer.. You may want to browse the different cruise line web sites to see for your self what each line offers and try to eleminate the ones that arent right for your family as of now..(often there might be a cruise line that would be great for you and your mate but not for the whole family.. But no doubt once you take your first cruise you will be hooked.... Good luck on your planning and have fun! joey
