  1. It sure does Karen thanks... and let me start my education early.... I need a definition of "Tapas" I see the term alot but dont really know what it means ....
  2. Chris the entertainment wasn’t what we enjoy.. the lounge singer for example, I believe the billed themselves as the Mediterranean duo, sand almost every night before dinner, their repertoire consisted of 12 song which they sand every night in the same order, and he sounded like “Elvis†The stage production show lacked energy and talent and the comedian wasn’t funny...telling Cozumel/hurricane jokes and ethnicity humor, we just didn’t care for it. However we did enjoy the Celebrity orchestra!
  3. I am sorry Mebert I don’t understand.. send my nominations to who, where and how. Care to elaborate
  4. Hey What a nice looking couple... Thanks for sharing Jim!
  5. oh my how right you are.. didnt care for it.. quick replace it here! LOL.. Personally I fell in love with the Celebrity cold soup
  6. Hi everyone, As some of you maybe aware of we are sailing the Mediterranean next October, the Barcelona to Venice run. I am looking to enhance this cruise with up to 3 night’s additional pre cruise stay and one extra night in Venice. Any suggestions as to the Area of town in either city we should be trying to reserve a room? Hopefully it would have nightlife with restaurants and entertainment venues, metro assessable, and yet still a 20 euro ride by cab to either the pier or the airport. I am also looking for some observations as to which airline provides the best comforts in Coach when traveling to and from Europe. We prefer to sit in groups of two, instead of 3 seats to a row section. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Always
  7. Thanks Dan..good to be home! Joanandjoe..Yes indeed, I keep slipping over to Radissons website, intrigued...the amount of money spent is so close to what we spend on Celebrity and HAL with the 2 for 1 deal.. The definitely deserve consideration for something early 07.. as far as bad food, I must agree, We havent either had bad food, although there were some dishes we did'nt care for!
  8. MeBert I have to Mebert, I must say I concur with both of these observations.
  9. Hey Jim! You ole Texas Redneck! (just teasing) Jeans are more than acceptable on a cruise, however in the dinning room on most premium ships; they tend to be discouraged from wearing them while in the dinning room. Does that mean everyone adopts to the dress code, unfortunately they do not, you may find individuals that wear no tie or coat on formal night, and you may wonder are they banished from the dinning room for not adhering to the “suggested dress policy NO! I have never seen it enforced to that degree. Should they be? Well that’s a preference thing, I personally vote yes, but that’s only because I like to dress for dinner and like to have that well dressed “illusion†kept in force within my eye view, but that’s just me. Depending on the cruise line you sail with, you could pick one that would allow you to dress in jeans every meal if you wish, and others that prefer you dress up a bit more. Decisions and preferences are private things. Most importantly, I feel one should be ones self and enjoy their vacation, however they should also be aware of what ambiance the cruise line is striving for and should in all good faith try to adhere to those policies. And Jim as far as Berating you for expressing your opinion or concerns don’t happen here at cruise crazies, we are free to disagree, but this gang has the knack of doing it tactfully and with much diplomacy. Glad you posted your thoughts. Keep up the interesting points of view!
  10. The Head of housekeeping and a few service oriented crew members asked what it was.. I quicky told them about crazies and that I was there doing a review for the web site...... I also mention that they should get used to seeing these door hangers as that other Cruise website aint the ONLY game in town! I think I did you proud Miss C
