at 4 pm.. we are trying to squeeze a nine day cruise into a 7 day vacation.....:grin: We get back to LA everything willing at 6:30pm then DP has to be at work at 4am the next morning...

I believe that Insurance would compensate for any loss of of Flight and some polocies would help catch the ship ..( i think)

We are now ship obsessed and turned cruise crazy became computer literate and joined CruiseCrazies They said "at your age, you'll never learn how" But we surprised them and look at us now. From greetings to tips.. best wishes and jokes We welcome the world..all the girls and blokes<]

Sue i would program your cruiselines phone number into speed dial. I hope things work out. But looking at this logically.. this is monday.. and the storm/hurricane is due to hit land (southern FL) sometime tuesday... you cruise Sunday.. I would "think you would be ok.. the port might not "look" pretty, but You should be able to get away!. I feel for you .. The anguish must be terrible

Update I realized I couldnt handle 4 walls so I called the TA today and upgraded to the last CC availible.. No balcony but I get cute perks..... and lets face it we "perk" people...LOL :grin:<]

We booked this cruise basically because we both needed some serious beach water therapy. So we are looking to spend as much time in the water as possible at nice non intrusive beaches, someplace where we can just chill... get some food if we want a few drinks with umbrellas u know just a slow day. So I need some help ..if you can. We have visited St Maarteen before so we have our X marked on the beach right across the port at a cute place called:<] Antoine by the sea<] We need information as to the other three ports Castries, St Lucia Bridgetown Barbados St. Johns, Antigua We prefer “free“ beaches however.. any direction would be great! On another note .. Our plane gets to FLL at 6;30 in the freakin morning…. It was the best last minute Best flight/price I could find ..(for those that aren’t aware yet .. I squeeze the head off of the head of a nickel) My question is .. Since they wont start embarkation till like noon.. What suggestions would you guys have for the 7 hours we are in early.. Do hotels ever charge a half day rate?<]

Nah one thing we have learned in our eight years together .. we only suprise with advance notice :grin: :grin: :grin:

Hey GoGetter Unfortunately this time we will be at the mercy of the travel gods.. Normally I book our stuff so far out the paint aint dry. (I’m trying to become less inflexible more spontaneous ..they say that’s a good thing..) But Like I said this time is last minute so.. We arrive the DAY OF departure at 6:30ish in the morning so no overnight this time. However in February we arrive a day and a half early so we will be enjoying What Fort Lauderdale has to offer.. yeah we love Los Olas Blvd. This also means that we are at the mercy of the stateroom Gods.. We booked the absolutely lowest cabin category possible a Guaranteed Z 12 category. ( lets see if the upgrade genie has any dust left! We HAVE NEVER DONE INSIDE BEFORE. As far as Itineraries ..we get back to one of our favorite places St. Maarteen, then its off to Castries, St Lucia, then to Bridgetown, Barbados, St. Johns, Antigua, before heading back to FLL. So all in all we should get some nice beach time in.<]

I say yes DP says no I will post pictures when we get back!

Hey just wanted you guys to be the second to know I just booked a last minute 9 nighter to the Caribbean, for Davids Birthday.. We are on the Century, and leave Fort Lauderdale, October 29. Needless to say we are having a nice week-end<]

Ocean View stateroom is a nice way to start. This way you can see if at least you enjoy cruising.. No doubt you will. I should warn you though. NEVER get a stateroom with a verandah or balcony. Once you do nothing else will satisfy you!:) First cruises are wonderful, the imagination will race with anticipation. The best thing I can Share with you, is relax and have fun! Good luck with the planning!<]

Hey Kenjoe1, Welcome to Cruise Crazies...Really looking forward to getting to know you and look forward to your posts. The only Port of call that I am familiar with is St. Maarten. And to be honest we turned it into a beach day.. At the end of the port you will find the water taxis. We took it across the water to the beach where we walked thru the small village of peddlers and merchants and then came across a little restaurant on the beach, where we were able to swim and have little beverages with umbrellas. You know that type of thing. The restaurant is Antoine by the Sea. I know we will visit them again when we get to visit again. In the mean time make yourself at home here and please post your upcoming cruise in our Passenger Hall and that way as more members join your cruise .. Well you get the idea Welcome again .. Sorry I couldn’t be more help! <]

We get to Ocho Rios at 9 in the morning and leave at 5 in the afternoon. We want a maximum beach/water day! I have googled to death, and have seen web page after web page about Jamaican beaches. I need real information! So Crazies this is what We are looking for. A nice beach that has facilities and near fun little restaurants. A place where we wont be hassled by street merchants. First is there such a place where you may use the beach at no charge? (understanding that they would charge for lounges / mats and umbrellas..etc) Secondly, which beach would you suggest ? Thanks a bunch<]

well that should take care of some of those "boar"ing passengers!
