  1. Hi Mary, yes they opened up Costa Rica today and we were able to get Colon Last week! so we set!!!..... Alougt since there will be 3 formal nights we could use a new vest set for the tuxes
  2. LOL But Miss C you don't undertstand I want to leave NOW!!!
  3. We are almost all set for our first cruise with Celebrity. As many of you guys are aware David and I will be trying Celebrity out for the very first time when we sail aboard the “Classic†Century We leave Fort Lauderdale and have port stops in Aruba where we hope to do nothing but beach time. If anyone knows a non touristy beach on Aruba where we can enjoy the sand and water but still be close enough for food when the feeling strikes .. We would appreciate it. The same goes for Ochio Rios, Jamaica .. Just beach time.. Any leads? For Colon Panama we have opted for the Two Ocean Railroad Journey which will takes us by train throughout the area, And In Puerto Limon Costa Rica we will enjoy the Costa Rica Off Road Adventure. Cruise paid for! Air fair paid for! Shore excursions Paid for! Hotel Reservations made! Only one problem.. We don’t leave for 6 months. How I hate to wait on a cruise
  4. The way I understand Celebrity and the T pool situation. If you sail on a M class Ship there is no additional charge, no matter which class of stateroom you occupy If you sail on a Century Class Ship then there is a charge unless you are in a suite or above. That was my understanding, I could be wrong
  5. celebrity has an itinerary that leaves San diego and does hawaii
  6. Sue, We looked at the Specialty Restaurant experience as a special treat. Sometimes we would book for the first night out when they hade a 2 for 1 offer. Other times they have been gifts of our TA and so we made the reservations when we got on board for which ever night we choose. The main reason is the menu is more 5 star IMHO with its own Chef and kitchen staff, I cant tell you the difference in the Hollandaise sauce alone was remarkable. The Service charge supposedly is to cover "the t<] word again TIPS for the wait staff"
  7. Hi Sue.. Let me start by saying I know nothing for a fact! Have not done “freestyle dinning before†We have not cruised with NCL before , but are interested in looking into them as a possible Hawaii retreat in a few years. Based on your last post. But if we wanted to take advantage of one of the freestyle restaurants, it would be something like a $15 cover charge<] It sounds like to me what they are calling free style is what others are calling specialty restaurants. I realize that didn’t help you much .. Just more of an observation.
  8. well as they say as long as you came in under budget!!!
  9. Great Ann! Hope you came close to your projected budgeted price!

  12. jacketwatch have a safe voyage hope to hear about it upon your return~!
  13. Ann, IMHO only you can answer that question, Only you know whether or not your kids need to be right across the hall from you and hubby. I don’t think there is a correct answer to the question, However I do believe it’s more important for the answer allows YOU to feel comfortable. Take Charge today because yesterday is too late
  14. And remember once you get a TA that u feel comfy with at the home office you can keep them by dialing their ext.. that way you develope more of a relationship thus getting a few bennis in the process.. Hang in there!
  15. Ann, I was thinking, about your current situation and wanted to present to you an alternative to hiring a TA. Depending on cruise line I normally buy directly from the home office. I just prefer dealing with the people that are providing the services and guarantees. I use Orbitz Travelocity etc. to do power searches so I can see what ships will be where, at what time, and at what ball park price. With that information I choose and deal directly with the brands own TA. I get everything we discuss sent to me in an email with in 2 days of my initial deposit. Thus the paper trail, documentation. And as Judge (fill in the TV blank) would say “did you get it in writingâ€Â. I just like to do more hands on than most tweaking and refining up to the date of departure. Is this an option for you in the future? Here’s to a surprise Holiday!! Hugs
  16. I saw them , I looked at them, I didnt use them, IMHO it just didnt seem like a good deal .. I saw too many hidden fees for me that is., But Then again Ann thats just moi!
  17. Hey skipper That sounds like that may be just what we are looking for. Please provide your review and include links to the cruiseline if you could!
  18. Hey Ann, If This story wasnt so sad it would be funny!! Hang in there and remember the secret is still a secret until others know. I know that doesnt help .. but I didnt know how else to support you!
