Hi Ann, I always thought that you had 91 days before cruising for final payment. I would call your cruiseline and just ask the question" How far before the sail date is a final payment due" That will answer your question for sure. BTW what is PITA? GoodLuck!

Hi Slainte, Can you imagine...That lady knows how to think outside the box! I love it. But wait I have questions.!! At $135 per day that averages to $4106.25 per month or some $49,275 per year. Would Social Security pay for this new retirement home? or do I need to have other means? What happens if a major illness comes up? Would the Ship Board doctors be prepared for such long term care? Would private insurance need to be obtained? Although, I love the thought of using a cruiseline as my "nursing home<]" I do have the feeling this woman could have picked any "home<]" she wanted sounds like she had a large nest egg, or maybe she was an old lady having some fun teasing your friends! Either way .."can you Imagine what a wonderful way to spend your last years!" Thanks for sharing Slainte.

Our last experience with HAL was The Oosterdam and we had a SS stateroom, Our Verandah was equipped with a table and lounge chairs. We did not get an Aft Cabin on that cruise we were mid ship, however if you get a chance for a true Aft Cabin I hear they are exceptional. We have an Aft Cabin on Celebrities Millennium for The Mediterranean, in 06

We used Hal..... We Purchased Directly with them before we sailed... the excursion coupons were in our stateroom when we boarded. Anything else I can help you with ..let me know

Hey Andy, When we Visited in November of 04 on the Oosterdam we did the open vehicle island tour, which we thought was excellent, it provided you with an opportunity to visit a local beach to swim or frolic at the ocean side.. along with a nice tour highlights of the island. I believe it was like $29 or 39 a person , but we thought it was well worth it.IOHO Your gonna fall in love with BVI

Hi jacketwatch, Depending on what your requirements are will most likely dictate which cruiseline you will want to sail. It’s mainly a personal choice, and a matter of which lines service the Itinerary you guys want to see. I realize that didn’t answer your question, however if you could give us more details and I’m sure you will get a lot of opinions. :grin: :grin: :grin: On a personal note if it aint Celebrity we don’t cruise, but we I am sure are not in the majority! Hey Laney!! Bravo, IMHO you make excellent points. I love to play dress up, and since retirement I dont get to dress in suits as much as I previously did, so when I do get the chance to "put a shine on" I really get into it. Thanks for a great post

we both own "classic Suits" so we normally change the appearence by changing vests, ties, cummberbuns..and shirts... we are up to 6 looks!
