  4. I beleive Mary is correct.. I have heard , remind you now I have not verified, I was told(by my TA) that if a TA wanted to they could "refuse" to give back the booking. So your only recourse would be to cancel and rebook.
  5. Could be jtutak, but for now I think they call it "Bingo"

  11. Every vessel that has a foreign itinerary and that carries 13 or more passengers is subject to twice-yearly inspections, and when necessary, a re-inspection by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP). Inspections are based on the Vessel Sanitation Operations Manual. During the inspection, cruise ships earn a score based criteria in the manual. The score is published every month in the Summary of Sanitation Inspections of International Cruise Ships, commonly referred to as the Green Sheet . The ship's level of sanitation is acceptable to CDC if the ship earns 86 or higher during the inspection. Published scores and inspection reports can also be obtained by searching the on-line database. You can check your upcomming cruise ships latest Green sheet score at http://www2a.cdc.gov/nceh/VSPIRS/VspRptGreenSheet.asp
  12. We have eaten twice in specialty Restaurants on HAL the first time was on the Ryndam, then Hal Charged $20. pp, however if you will be their first nights guests you will receive a fifty percent discount. The Second Time was also on HAL it was Aboard the Oosterdam, The cruise Line TA Arranged the dinner in appreciation of the booking, I think that it was like 30 pp then but the same deal prevailed with first night discount. On the Oosterdam as A matter of Fact the food in the Dinning Room paled in comparison. Specialty Restaurants normally have their own Chef and Staff, so the experience is unique to each ship . Our next cruise Our First is on the Century Classic, so no specialty Restaurant will be available to us. However we will enjoy the experience one night when we set sail on the Millennium in October 06. To me it’s a well spent excursion money , especially if your just a couple. It could be kind of pricey if you were to be with a large group. I just find it romantic......But then again I'm Joey
  13. I just did the same thing for our February 06 Cruise .. it is really cool makes sense too. Ann It allows you to do everything on line from securing passport information to setting up those S&S cards that you had all those questions about when you frist joined us.. Carnival Corporation no doubt will fall in right behind...That of course is just my opinion.
  14. So to be clear.. You set up everything this past weekend for your cruise to happen in October of this year?
  15. Hi JBond Oh tell me more .. what information did they ask for? They already have you fill out your embarkation forms on line ahead of time .. I dont quite understand what more they are requiring you to do ahead of time. Also how far ahead of time will they accept information? thanks
  16. Ann I cant speak for Carnival but I do know other cruise lines like airlines if you request a special diet they will accommidate with advanced notice.
  17. Be warned once you expiernece a veranda.. it makes it difficult to settle for less...
  18. I added two cruises! Thanks Jason for the new feature.. It is terriffic.
  19. Depending on the service rendered will dictate the amount of tip. We normally go by the following guidelines and then adjust from there. Room Service one tray $2.00 Bags ..$1.00 per bag Escort to room $2.00/3.00 dollars Extra or Specailaty resturant .. depending on service anywhere between $5.00 and $20.00 depending on Service and Expierence. Of course anytime someone excedes our expectations they get rewarded, so you may want to plan on a few extra ones or fives. Thats just what we do.. with out a doubt others have opinions! Good luck I hope this helps some..
  20. obladi1 thanks for your input! how much were your savings? On another note Welocme to Cruise Crazies..Lookforward to your posts in the future.
