  1. Hi Sunshine! I can imagine, First let me congratulation you on your first cruise. Never fear. Carnival like all Cruise lines have up to the minute equipment So the Navigation of the ship is fairly easy, The ability to stay clear of inclement weather and to see up coming storms and stay out of range of turbulent weather is Navigation 101 in this day of technology. So don’t worry, just look at it like this …when you are on a cruise you never know, so enjoy!
  2. TY Tut for the kind words, I do understand about the added expense.. That’s why I try and put as much time ahead as possible to give not only me but everyone a chance to save those quarters. Your 40th Anniversary Cruise sounds wonderful, where will you guys be heading out of? and sailing to? And before anyone else Happy 40th Anniversary!!! <]

  5. I book our air fare almost 330 days out. For our up coming cruise departing FLL. I was able to get us Round Trip seats in Prime Time (7am to 3 pm) on AA for 220 a person by buying 4 one way tickets. We leave LAX on the 25th of February at 7:25 and get to FLL 4 and half hours later at 3pm. That fare was 114.00 pp Then coming back we get FLL at 11:30 and get back to LAX 1:30 or so and that too was like 115.00pp. You just have to do your homework.. There are deals but you need IMHO to commit early.. As the fable state the early bird gets the worm Good Luck

  9. So it appears SO FAR that MOST seem interested in a Caribbean thing in Sept/Oct 2007for 7 days,. That’s cool. those schedules wont be out for another 6 months anyway.. But isn’t that hurricane season? The only times we have ever done the turquoise waters of the Atlantic were in November and February because of the season... And off course I can block out a week then for DP and myself, God willing and we are all healthy. But this is good ..I can see a sea of yellow tee shirts and someone saying “look at all those Crazie people†LOL ok maybe not…
  10. Hey jtutak, Thanks for the review, I was so glad to hear that it was a great time had by all. We hadn’t sailed the Princess Brand before so I was glad to hear that you enjoyed it all. How long of a train ride was it to Whittier, And what else can you tell us about the Alaska Railroad. DP works for Amtrak and wondered what type of train it was .. Thanks again for sharing your adventure

  15. Hi jtutak, I want to thank you also for your input, it appears that Costa Rica, has an ever changing climate both in weather and in it's economic growth. Ever changing, As I consider the excursions that we may take I will keep in mind comments you and Dan Both made. It is much appreciated
  16. Hi jtutak When I checked yesterday Celebrity wanted to charge 829pp for air from LAX so figure that plus 1751 for an inside cabin that’s $2600pp for 14 nights that’s a ball park for transportation and lodging , is that a reasonable fare ? I poersonally didnt think it was too bad It broke down to 186.pp /pd before extras, I always try to keep our vacations right around 350/400 for the both of us. Thats room and board and transportation. But thats just we can do ..I cant speak for others .. so thus my question. Is that a reasonable fare ?
  17. It is "the" party in Key west. http://www.fantasyfest.net
  18. so give us a hand and give us school dates Miss C,, its hard to plan when you dont know availibilty.. I was hoping that we could get a t least two groups planned for 07 one early and one late, The great thing about 07 its so far off.. that that in itself gives leeway to scheduling.
  19. LOL don't you think I read profiles. Here is a mathematical problem You and Karen are in mine and David’s age range although David is closer to Jeff's age. I know that Gotta Cruz has a son that is half as old as David but older than any of the three children of cruisnmama. Here’s the question: How long is it till your next cruise?
