My first cruise was when I was 11 and we sailed to England and back on the S.S.United States. This was a prefered way of travel as the airlines were just beginning the trans Atlantic passenger service and the cost for our family was quite high. In 2004 I won a cruise (5 Day on the Ecstacy) in a sales contest within our organazation competing against 150 other sales people. This hooked us. We have cruised each year since and have booked in 2008 as well. Ruined for life Jim

I use a local TA. He has always been good and all I have to do is tell him what I want and he does the rest...Simple, neet, no hassle.

Useally up early, between 5 and 6. I like a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. There is nothing better.

Being on the recieving end of customers, this day and time, being talked down to is a way of life. Most customers don't realize that they are doing it....so be nice to the crew. With only 4 cruises under my belt, and being somewhat of a rebel or redneck, whatever you want to call it, I dislike the people that are putting on the airs and not just being themselves. If you live in a world that some portray, I think I'd have to change planets. Just remember we all put socks on one foot at a time. I try to only say we're from Central Texas untill pushed, because the Branch Davidian deal always shows its ugly head. Relax, enjoy, treat others as you wish to be treated, and remember, the vacation isn't over untill you return to work. JMHO.

I'll take a lounge chair anywhere, just as long as I can go.

I never bought travel insurance until last year. I then read something about cancellations and medical and considered my situation. My Mom is 85 and if something happens to her prior to cruise, or if I have a situation with my health (I'm 61 with a pacer) then it would be good to have it. I since have booked two other cruises with insurance included. I guess you call it peace of mind.

We're there also... booked in Oct aboard the Rhapsody...on the starboard hump.

I feel the increase in airfares will greatly affect the cruise industry as a lot have to fly to departure ports. We are lucky in that Galveston is only a 4 1/2 hr drive, and we could drive to New Orleans also if need be.

I don't fly.

I have never stopped long enough to make a review of the Rhapsody cruise that we took Oct 1, 2006. I will say it was one of the best we've had and one can read last years review on this forum as it would be hard to add to it. Every thing was just great. Again I apologize. Jim

First let me appologize...We've been busy with several things and as of yet I have not started a review. I will say we had an excellent cruise and I'll try to compose one this weekend.... thanks Jim

Well we have finnally made it to 9 days to go...WaHooo!!!!

We have a balcony room for the first time aboard the Rhapsody sailing Oct 1. I will let you know my opinion when we return..

The upcoming cruise is our third. This is the first with insurance. I felt we were pressing our luck by not having it...peace of mind.

I don't know about everyone else, but for one that lives on a phone 9-10 hours a day, I go on a cruise to get away from those aggravation devices. :sealedlips:
