  1. I just switched over to the Travel Channel and there is a show coming on called Samantha Brown's First Cruise. She is sailing from Barcelone on a 12 day cruise, which made me think of you Crazies who just got back. I am waiting to see if it the Millineum she is sailing on. She has said it was RCCL. Nope, they just showed the ship and it is Brilliance of The Seas.... If you want to catch the show, I am sure it will air again. As I said, it is on the Travel Channel. If you have DishNetwork, as we do, it is channel 215.

  7. If I remember correctly from prevous posts, your name is Stephen, isn't it? Anyway, yes Dunnes River Falls is crowded but in my opinion, it is a must see. The first time, we watched ours sons and a lot of other people climb it, but the next time, we did the climb. It is an experience and a great photo op. The "shopping area" that the taxi drivers will take you to are really not worth it - tell them you want to go to the flea market. It is new stuff, a lot of it handmade. There was a man there carving walking sticks. There was one with a bird carved on the top (also painted) that my husband really admired. The guy was asking $30...my husband is a great bargainer and ended up taking it home for $6. It has been a couple of years since we were there, but at the time, there was a lot of military presence walking around with guns. There is a good chance you will be approached and offered drugs. They had dogs close to the ship when we were returning and the people ahead of us "triggered" a reaction and were detained. We watched as drugs were found on them....

  12. Arvids, glad to have back on the forum. As much as I love cruising, I must say that by day 7, I am usually ready to go home and sleep in my own bed!!! Are we going to see pics???
  13. Joey, I cannot tell you happy I am that you are home. We tried but as you can see, not so many posts in the Daily Dock. Guess we now know who the real blabber mouth is!!!!!
  14. Jackie, glad you are having a wonderful time. I can't wait until you get home so we can hear all about it. I have so missed your posts!!!

  17. Great pics Joey. I loved seeing them as I will be traveling on the Conquest on my next cruise. Thanks for allowing us to see them...
  18. Here ya' go Howard and Pat...here's some Rocky Mountain Dancers...
  19. Howard, we are certainly glad to have you back with us. You were missed. My sister in law is really into genealogy. She goes to old cemetaries and travels all over getting info and pics from long lost relatives. Not matter how much I was interested in the subject, I don't think I could sit thru that many seminars....brings back too many memories of too many years in school!!!!
  20. Vicky, I have a 4 yr. old grandson who just left after spending almost 6 hrs. with me today. I am absolutely exhausted so I can't imagine having 6 of them all day. You are a brave woman!!!!
  21. Tim, all of our past cruises, and our upcoming one have been Carnival. I guess we are just creatures of habit. We started with them when the kids were teenagers and traveled with us and even though they have been grown and gone for some time, we have stuck with Carnival.
  22. LOVEAMY, glad to have you aboard the greatest forum afloat. I feel so at home here, and I am sure that in no time, you will be saying the same.
  23. vcop, what a lovely, generous thought. I have never thought about it, but I assume that they have to furnish all of their own personal and hygenic needs. Do you have a first name we can call you by, or do you prefer vcop?
  24. Thanks Joey, for the info. All I heard was a little blurb, and of course, it caught my attention. Welcome home, tell us all about your cruise....
