  1. Yeah but Vicky, you don't have blizzards in the winter!!!
  2. We kinda' eat all day long. Breakfast on the Lido, usually around 10'ish, then lunch on the Lido, then early seating in the dining room and then back to the Lido right before it closes.
  3. Linda, I am so jealous - I love the beach but am surrounded by mountains!!! Hey, can I steal your Vegas ticker?
  4. julee383, glad to have you aboard the greatest forum afloat. I feel so at home here, and I am sure that in no time, you will be saying the same.

  6. So, if we don't all stay at the same place, we need to make up a list of everyone's cell phone numbers before the trip, so we can reach either about hooking up. Lisa, I know your cell phone would be from Canada, but my cell has an international plan on it, so I should be able to call you at no charge. When it gets closer to time, maybe all of you who are going can pm or email me your cell numbers and I can compile a list and send it out.
  7. Decided to start a new thread for this because we haven't heard from some of the Troublemakers booked on this cruise, so hoping they will see the topic heading and check in. Frank, Bill, Bev, Pam and any others - are you going to be able to make Vegas April 25 - 28th? We have a positive affirmation from Lisa, Chuck, Vicky, Linda and myself....
  8. Linda, we will probably drive. Greg is trying to talk me into flying but I absolutely hate to fly. I have to take Xanax to even board the plane and then I drink all the way to where we are going. I cried all the way to Paris and that was a long flight. I am going to have to fly to San Diego for the Loco cruise because of the winter weather here in Colorado and thru Utah, so we won't drive then. We will arrive in Vegas on Friday and leave on Monday. It is just a day's drive for us - but we may leave Thursday when Greg gets home from the office and at least knock out a few hrs. before stopping for the night.
  9. I checked out Fitzgerald's on Fremont, where we have stayed before. It says it isn't available those dates, but it may be that they won't let you book more than 6 months in advance. I also checked the Golden Nugget, which is the only hotel on Fremont that AAA has rated with 4 diamonds. Their rates varied from about $139 - 169 per night, which is a good price. If you guys decide you want to stay on the strip instead, a standard room on the weekend at the Paris Hilton is $89, and a suite is $309. It may go up before then, but that is what it was the beginning of last week when we were there.
  10. Hi mofromcan, glad to see you posting. As for the 2 rooms - you had better check with the cruise lines - most will require that there is an adult in each room. I am sure some people try to book the 2 rooms under the guise that there will be one adult and one child in each room, and then put the kids in the one room together, but then the sail & sign cards would not match up, and they are used to access your cabin, make purchases and as I.D when reboarding the ship. Also, the 3rd & 4th passenger in each room is at a discounted rate. Personally, I would look into a suite. We are booked to go to Jamaica on our upcoming cruise, and are seriously considereing staying on the ship in that port. It has become much more dangeros over the yrs., and frankly I do not see why the cruise lines continue to go there. You might want to check out this thread on Jamaica - I don't want to alarm you, but you should be aware of the dangers there. http://www.cruisecrazies.com/forums/index....showtopic=14034 The news is reporting that Jamaica will likely take a head-on hit from Hurricane Dean and they believe it will be a category 5 by that time, so there is the possibility that the island will suffer major damage, and may not be back to operating status for several years. I would definitely look into getting a balcony, it is so wonderful to sit out and relax on. Carnival is my favorite cruise line. All 10 of our cruises have been with that line and we have 2 cruises on deck and they are both Carnival. We started with them back when the kids were teens and they really enjoyed themselves.

  17. Glad you found your way back to the forum. Just think, you are only 3 months from setting sail. I too, am cruising in Nov. and it just can't seem to get here fast enough.
