  1. Ed, enjoyed tour slide show. The interior shots of the hotel were beautiful, well heck, all the pics were beautiful. Thanks for posting the link...
  2. Okay Lisa, I take that to mean you are "not 5'7
  3. My favorite pair of shoes changes constantly. I looooove shoes - they really are my passion and I would consider it a bad week if I only bought one pair of shoes in that 7 day period. I go to DSW and literally spend hours in there trying on shoes, and always walking out with at least 3-4 pair. The pic I am posting is my favorite pair of shoes this week - I ordered them online and they just arrived last week, and I haven't had the opportunity to wear them yet...
  4. Cheryl, I am glad you had such a good time, but I am also glad that you back with us....
  5. Mid to late April is best for us too, because we have less of a chance of really bad weather going up around Vail.
  6. We have stayed at quite a few places in Vegas, and one of my favs is Fitzgerald's on Fremont Street. It is off the strip, but still has the whole Vegas feel with the Fremont Street Experience, as they call it. Can't say for sure if we will go if it is Feb., as that will more than likely be bad weather time and I want to drive there...
  7. We have never been to Alaska, but in other ports, we are free to come and go as we please. We sometimes return to the ship several times during the day, to drop off purchases and grab some lunch, then back out and at it again.
  8. Carmen, hope you and hubby have a fabulous trip. Take pics for us....
  9. You nut - I will blame that on the fact that I have not been up long, so my eyes aren't focused enough to put my contacts in yet. I will be expecting my daily chuckles from you onboard also....
  10. Josy, they certainly do, but I hear the service is practically non-existent...
  11. Bianca, glad to have you aboard the greatest forum afloat. I feel so at home here, and I am sure that in no time, you will be saying the same.
  12. Mouth55, glad to have you aboard the greatest forum afloat. I feel so at home here, and I am sure that in no time, you will be saying the same.
  13. Source, glad to have you aboard the greatest forum afloat. I feel so at home here, and I am sure that in no time, you will be saying the same.
  14. Keeping fingers crossed (which makes it difficult to type) that the Vegas thing does come together). It is only a day's drive for us so if it is late enough in the year that the mountain passes aren't icy - we'll be there. Yes, I know it is only an 1 hr. and 45 minute flight, but I hate flying, but am resigned that I will have to for the Loco's cruise because the roads will not be good in January. I think it would be a hoot to get to meet all of you before we sail.
  15. I was going to bring one too and an extra power strip and a small 6ft extension cord. I now got a 2" X 2" X 4" set of speakers for my mp3 player and instead of using batteries I have the cheap plug-in power supply, so I can set it up on the balcony and listen to the music or radio while relaxing... The speakers only cost $7.00 and the power supply cost $9.00. Frank, I have some of those speakers and I love them. I actually bought 4 - one for the kitchen, one for the motorhome, one for my sewing room and one for our bathroom. They really do work quite well....
  16. Oh, the possibilities are endless Bill, however, I normally limit the shoes to between 15-20 pair. That is on a 7 day cruise though, and as the Loco cruise is 8 days, I will probably have to throw in a few extra. Normally, I take 3 suitcases and Greg has a garment bag and a duffle/gym bag style thingy. We always tip the luggage takers and the porters afterwards well, because we have so much.
  17. Jenn, you crack me up - you are the female version of a pervert. I just love it!!!
  18. Pam, we have a Deck 5 Aft balcony too, so we will be close, as I only see 4 aft cabins on the deck plans, the other 2 being the wrap around suites. I promise we will TRY and be good neighbors!!!
  19. Linda, you are right - I am gonna' buy both Greg and I one of the Liberty shirts - I hope the Spirit ones are as cool...
  20. Now I wish I was going on the Liberty cruise, just for the t-shirt. I love the design on that one...
  21. Frank - you sound EXACTLY like hubby. That was his thought too. Of course, he's not a pirate either, but the whole pirate thing is fun....
  22. I know I may get booed and hissed, but personally, for me, that would be way too long. I am always ready to go home from vacation and I can't stand going more than a week or 2 without seeing my kids and grandchild. I keep an international plan on my cell phone just so I can always be in touch with them when in port. I just haven't been able to figure out how to cut those apron strings to be away from them for that long...
  23. Question - as I have never sailed with anyone other than my family, just when is a sail away party held? Would it be held oboard at the time of sailing or sometime prior to the cruise? We are sailing with friends for the first time this Nov. but as they will be arriving at our home this Friday for a week, I plan to break out all the Carnival glasses, little drink umbrellas, my Carnival placemats, and all my tropical decorations for a pre-sail away dinner...
