  3. Cheryl, welcome home - I am looking forward to hearing all about it when you are up to it!!!
  4. Stephen, to be quite honest, after reading the accounts of your cruises, I am amazed this hasn't happened on a ship you were sailing on yet!!!
  5. I normally do not buy People magazine but I picked up the new issue yesterday becasue I wanted to read the article on Valerie Bertinelli about her struggle with her weight and she is becoming the new celebrity following the Jenny Craig plan - I saw commercials with her and Kirstie Alley. Anyway, as I was reading the magazine, I came across a lengthy article about the 2 who went overboard on the Grand Princess. Again, it was a totally different story!!! I thought it very odd that she left the ship and he stayed, until I read the article. They weren't even together - he was with a group of his buddies and she was with some of her friends and they all met up and decided to have a party in the girls room. If you want to pick up the mag., it is the one with Valerie Bertinelli on the cover. It was interesting and that 3rd accounting of what I have heard took place!!! Jason or Cheryl, can you correct the thread title for me - I know it is a magazine and not a magaziner!!!

  10. On our very first cruise, we ordered room service one night. There was a very limited menu, but keep in mind that was 12 yrs. ago. Sandwiches and fruit was about all that was on it. The bread on our sandwiches was extremely stale. That was the first and last time we ordered food from room service. Greg has gotten coffee from them though, so he can sit on the balcony and drink it, while waking up.
  11. In the U.S., no one can exit the ship until it has been completely cleared by Customs. I don't know if the same rules will apply in Copenhagn, but like Joey, I think that is cutting it really close, especially as you normally need to check in 2 hrs. in advance for an international flight. I take it that you didn't book your flight thru Princess? Don't want to put a damper on your plans, but I think I would look into a flight that would give you more time and not pose such a risk of not getting to the airport on time.
  12. Joan and Joe, I hope you have a wonderful visit with your son and a marvelous trip. I have never booked a cruise less than 4 months away, it must be so exciting to have just booked and it is almost time to go!
  13. I can only address Carnival because that is the only line I have ever cruised on, but if you have an early flight, you can show proof at the purser's desk and receive tags for early disembarkation. Under those circumstances, you would be one of first groups off the ship. I would check with your cruise line regarding their procedure for early flights...
