  1. traveltheworld, glad to have you aboard the greatest forum afloat. I feel so at home here, and I am sure that in no time, you will be saying the same.
  2. At 100 posts, you get an oceanview cabin, 500 gets you a balcony and 1000 will bump you up to a suite with balcony. Keep posting and it won't be long before you will have a wonderful view...
  3. I cried when he died. I saw him in concert twice. I am still a huge fan and have about 20 of his songs on my iPod. I think it was so sad what he did to himself with all the drugs. He was, and could have continued to be, an influence on people's lives if he had chosen a differnt path.
  4. Chris and Karen, have a safe and enjoyable cruise. If Karen is anything like me, she will spend the time in port shopping for things for the grandson....
  5. Maria, hope you and Ken have a wonderful cruise. Looking forward to seeing pics when you return.
  6. Keith, great pic of a lovely couple. It is always sad to return to the real world, but we are glad to have you back. I have missed your posts...
  7. Well, mine sort of has to do with disembarkation...it is the process of it. The long waiting for them to call your luggage tag color...
  8. Shatkila, glad to have you aboard the greatest forum afloat. I feel so at home here, and I am sure that in no time, you will be saying the same.
  9. Stephen - glad to see you back. Look forward to hearing about your cruise...
  10. Boba, what day in August is your anniversary? Our 30th is August 6th.
  11. Cruisekrazy63, glad to have you aboard the greatest forum afloat. I feel so at home here, and I am sure that in no time, you will be saying the same.
  12. We have so many "long term" marriages here. Skipper, wow - 49 yrs. so far. That was a good year too (I am 49). And Boba, yes 77 was a good year...
  13. Jeff, you are so good - I have the steak and hot dogs both!!!
  14. James, we went to Cancun 2 yrs. ago for Valentine's Day - it was our first all-inclusive vacation. I must say that the food was nothing to write home about, and we did end up eating out more than we had planned because of that, but I am sure that is not the case in most all-inclusives. I liked the inclusive alcohol though - there were a lot of drinks I have never tried, and I got the opportunity at that time - ordered Bahama Mama's, Sex on the Beach, Chocolate Monkeys, and I can't remember all the other names, but I went down the list. The place we stayed, The Sierra Cancun, had a private beach, and there was an outside bar, so we would get our drinks and got sit on the beach chairs down by the water. Has anyone here done an all-inclusive, and if so, how was the food?
  15. We always book a mid-ship cabin, so we do not feel the up and down motion as much. We have been in one of the cabins at the front and I felt way more movement than I was comfortable with. Years ago, they let us pick our cabin number when we booked at no charge, but the past few cruises, we have had to pay a $100 fee to do so. I picked our stateroom this time based on the floor plan (exactly mid-ship) , but after booking, I realized that we will be directly under the pool area on the Lido deck. I called our agent at Carnival and she she had recently sailed on the Conquest and was in the same area as we will be, and she did not hear the noise from above...I hope she's right as that is where the late night parties, bands, dancing, etc. will be taking place late into the night.
  16. Just one planned for the year - Carnival Conquest in Nov. Would love to take more, but we have an RV and Greg likes to use the rest of his vacation time traveling around the country in it. I enjoy it too, but do wish we could cruise more often.
  17. James, it was nice to see you posting again. Sounds like this cruise wasn't your finest...
  18. I am like Frank, I think soup should be hot. I think my favorite would be Baked Alaska. I had it for the first time on our first cruise and I thought it was one of the most scrumptuous thing I had ever tasted. I also like the kraut dogs. Carnival always has sauerkraut at their burger and hot dog grill and I have one probably 4 days out of 7.
  19. All 10 of ours, plus our upcoming one, have been on Carnival.

  24. I love the pics like the one Joey posted. I love to see the ship and the beautiful surrounding sea, especially on cold winter days. I am sure I will return again and again to look at Joey's post...
