  5. John, sorry to hear about your fall and cracked ribs. But I'll trade yer!! Take my arm/wrist and now painful peeling skin from the thumb and first two fingers of the cast arm. You take that and I'll have your ribs!!!!!! God willing see you on Sunday. Regards, James.
  6. james,

i am so happy that you are able to go on the cruise!! may you and your wife have the cruise of a life time. please remember to write about your cruise for all of us crazies that aren't going along. take plenty of pics also!! especially of each of the other crazies then the rest of us will know what some of our online friends look like.

  7. Well it's down to the nitty gritty now folks! Looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday despite this wretched cast!!!! Safe flight for all who are arriving by air. Regards, James.
  8. Packing one handed is a first for me!!! Must have put on a few pounds since our last cruise last May as nothing seems to fit! Sadly I won't be bringing my tuxedo for the reason just mentioned. Once we get back and this wretched cast is off, it's back into the gym for sure. Donna has put together a delightful little trinket package for each couple and the two single ladies with us. Hopefully y'all will be pleased with her efforts!!!!! Regards, James.

  10. To the strains of some Island music Donna has on her CD player, I say good afternoon everyone!! Clocks were put back one hour last night and it's almost dark now at 5 p.m. I've yet to try my holiday clothes on but for sure will try and buy a couple of short sleeve dress shirts. This is because of my cast as most long sleeved shirts will not fit over the arm. Donna has a nice selection of clothes after spending the morning trying everything on!!! Must admit my normal enthusiasm for this cruise is not what it should be. I'm hoping to "buck up" so to speak nearer the weekend. Regards, James.
  11. 'Afternoon All. Well this new cast is on my broken left wrist but it offers me a little bit more flexibility. The arm is still virtually useless-however, Donna and I have decided to take the cruise! So if any of you see a 65 year old baseball capped geezer trying to raise himself out of a deck chair one handed-I'd appreciate some help!!!!! (if Donna is not around) We have booked the kennels for our dog and cat, stopped the mail for the period we are away and will stop the newspaper sometime today. We will contact a couple of neighbors to keep an eye on our home. No, neither of us is packed but the clothes are hanging in the closet ready! Donna is also worried about clothes that may not fit her anymore since she has put on a couple of pounds since our last cruise! So it may mean a mad dash to the shops over the next few days once she has tried things on!!!! Poor girl is also suffering a bit of diverticulitis too and is taking antibiotics to try and cure it. Have a great day everyone. Regards, James.
  12. Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and good wishes. I too still hope to join the cruise but everything we were planning to do will be so terribly restricted. From getting dressed to avoiding getting the cast wet in the sea. Eating too will be one handed -a thing I'm not used to. I don't like this situation at all because despite the insurance we took out for the cruise, we stand to lose a lot of money on our airfares and hotels. I will make a decision finally after I have seen the orthopedic surgeon next week. Regards, James.
  13. Folks I broke my left wrist this morning! Cannot say yet if this puts the kibosh on the cruise for Donna and I but it certainly puts a huge damper on things. Will probably know more next week after a visit to the orthopedic surgeon who will re x ray and re cast the wrist. Regards, James.
  14. Hi Rose, You sent me a message but I couldn't find it. Was this todo with one of the shore excursions? Regards, James.
  15. Yup, our boarding passes are now printed too. Did you read the fee for corkage of your wine if you bring it to the dining room? I nearly choked!!! Sadly now being a pensioner I will not be able to freely imbibe the ship's drink/s of the day! Ah well, Celebrity's loss!!!!!!! LOL Have a good evening everyone. Regards, James.
