  1. Great post.... Thanks for sharing... I am one of the people that uses the hand sanitizers frequently while cruising...I also try not to touch the elevator buttons with my hands, lol...I have seen too many times, a person sneeze, cover their mouth and nose, which is good, but then touch the rail, or elevator buttons etc. People just need to follow simple steps. D
  2. Good morning, Our group is growing...we have 4 cabins currently booked...woohoo...almost time to party! LOL... Steph? Where have you been? D

  5. Good morning, Not much going on here...just checking out the forums...saying hello...playing catch up etc. Have a good day...Steph...hopefully you are feeling better. D
  6. It is unfortunate, I agree. Rosie tends to do this about once a year or so. You could find out how to book with her group...The tickets are usually available to anyone...like the cruise to nowhere in FL she did. This does happen on other lines, not just Norwegian...it would really stink...I agree. Good luck with your cruise plans... D
  7. Good morning Crown cruisers... Our snow storm is over, thank goodness. Not much going on here on the storm front.... We have 4 booked cabins, yay....3 more on the way...and 3 more questionable...this is going to be fun. I think it is much more fun to go with a bunch of people. I think with this cruise being so port intensive...we will have to start saving our pennies into our vacation bank...and more than usual, lol... Have a great day...Steph..you feeling better yet? D
  8. I wasn't real happy about the changes either. Especially with the internet charges being so high! I believe the changes take effect in April 07. I have to admit, I didn't use too many of the perks in January... I used the internet, priority tenders...extras in the room I hope they get enough negative feedback to give them back! D
  9. John...Princess is changing the free internet...depending on the length of the cruise...for a typical week you would get a $75 credit instead of it being totally free. Still good...but free is always better. I forgot the Dawn didn't have Sabatini's...ooops...sorry Joey. D
  10. REAL funny Joey...REAL funny! LOL I guess you can tell how well we liked our Princess cruise...my dh and I, my parents, Steph and Steve, and Gen and Shawn, all put $ into our Future Cruise Credit account...while onboard...lol...it is a great program that Princess offers...you put $100 pp down...onto an account for a future cruise...even if you don't know what cruise you want to go on...they hold it for up to 4 years...and you get an onboard credit on your new cruise for booking while onboard...all lines have something similar. Anyway...we all booked for the Crown, lol... D
  11. U R more than welcome... I love when I know answers to questions, lol!! My cruise on the Star really turned me onto Princess...the service was excellent. good luck with your plans...don't forget to report what you decide! D
  12. Hey Joey, I went and responded to your questions...hope I helped and wasn't too long winded... LOL... Stephanie...snow....we have snow and lots of it coming...LOL!!! I still don't know how to use the snowblower...good thing my son will be here...lol... D
  13. Joey and David...I will do my best to help you out here. I haven't personally sailed on the Dawn...but as far as amenities, there is no difference between the difference categories. if you went with the mini suite, you would get upgraded toiletries and stuff. If you book a guarantee, you know you just cannot book the specific room, so if you have a certain place you like to be or don't want to be...this wouldn't be the best option. Room service was very good on the Star Princess...cabins were spotless...our room stewards for the different members of our group were reportedly very good and attentive. The personal choice dining is a nice option...you choose if you want the traditional cruise dining, same table, same dining room, same time. Or...you can choose anytime dining...where you go to the anytime dining restaurants when you want to. They do give you a light up thingy...but, it didn't appear people waited too terribly long. We had the anytime, but being a party of 12, we wanted to have meals together...so we requested the maitre 'd to "assign" us to the table we had the first night...he did accomodate us! the specialty dining is great. We only did the Steakhouse...and it was really awesome steak..I had a delmonico...some of the men had porterhouse, some of the ladies had the filet mignon (I think) the appetizers were excellent...the best spinach artichoke dip and chips!! This is definitely worth the cover charge. We didn't eat at the Italian restaurant...one couple did and said it was okay...but they preferred the Steakhouse. I found the buffet for breakfast excellent. They had some really different offerings, to cater to all nationalities. The only downfall was the juice wasn't ice cold and it was prepoured into only 4 ounce glasses...but you can grab a glass of ice near the coffee...there was always a great offering of fresh fruit...I really miss this now that I am at home. My parents had breakfast in the dining room one day and found it very good. They generally eat light for breakfast ...so the other mornings they got room service and my mom was very happy with it. We got room service one morning, and I realized I had forgotten to check off splenda and milk for the coffee...but they brought it anyway. On a previous cruise, different line, if you didn't include it, they didn't bring it...lol. Lunch at the buffet was okay...we generally hit the buffet area late afternoon...more of tea time...they did offer sushi at lunch though. The one other thing I didn't like about the buffet...at lunch and throughout the day they only offered coffee, tea and iced tea to drink. Other lines offer fruit punch and lemonade...I would like to see Princess offer better drinks. Joey...if I can answer anything else...please feel free to let me know... D
  14. Good morning, It appears that you don't have a travel agent. I suggest getting one, and one that will answer your questions. Your 20 year old can still cruise. A notarized letter from parents giving them permission to travel with the name of the 40 year old etc. Good Luck, D
  15. I always get refrigerator magnets...and I like to get Christmas ornaments. I am starting to collect dolphins...so that is my new purchase plan...I can usually find them pretty cheap...now I am going to need a curio to display my goodies in .... D
