  1. James and Donna!! Have a great cruise aboard the Carnival Freedom!
  2. A new Cruise Review is now available: Ship Name: Mariner Of The Seas Sailing date: 5/10/2009 Author: JoeyandDavid View Review
  3. I was going to ask the same thing. I already have a white shirt but I'm thinking about ordering another color also.
  4. Ed and Roe!! Enjoy the reunion and later.......the cruise aboard the Carnival Valor!
  5. I got my t-shirt today. Yeah Andrea, it comes in a Priority Mail envelope with their address and yours hand written. The logo is big but I love it. THe shirt fits fine too!
  6. Now I see where you all are having the problem. I get into the 'My Reservation' OK but when I click on 'Manage My Reservation' I get that same "....system maintenance" message. It also says "null" under the cruise description.
  7. Yes! That's what I love about it we all learn from each other
  8. Yeah Steve, we're mere novices also compared to many others on this site. Many of the things others are talking about, I thought were 'normal'. That's one of the things I like about this place....you get a good cruise education.
  9. We have sailed with NCL, RCI, Princess and Carnival. Overall (service, food, activities, shows) I would rate Princess at the top of my list then probably RCI, NCL and then Carnival. Many people don't care for the "Freestyle Cruising" that NCL offers but since that was our very first cruise, we didn't know any different. But we also took our Alaskan cruise with NCL and that was probably the best and most attentive service we've ever received. JMHO!
  10. We're not giving up on cruising either....just taking a little break (after my cruise ) for financial reasons. We enjoy land vacations and camping so we're not going to do without. I still think you get alot of bang for your buck on a cruise. What kills us is the airfare. I wish the cruise ships would sail out of Lake Huron
  11. What?! Seriously...what is upsetting you the most about the "trend in cruising"? Deb it's This nickle and dime(ing) ...ala cart crap...with less and less service .....all the while doing away with the crusing traditions.. they are cutting out the chocolates on the pillows.. the food is beginning to suffer..it's just not the same value to us as it once was..I say all this to say .... the industry it's not there yet.. but if it keeps going in this direction.. I can no longer endorse it.... Deb does that make sense to you? Yes....it makes alot of sense to me. I've only been cruising for 8 years now so I may not realize all the changes that you have. Though I have noticed the food quality and variety has dropped.

  13. True....but our last cruise we booked 5 weeks out and got a really good deal too....but that was a spur of the moment thing.
  14. 6 months out is about when we usually book a cruise. I've never booked one this far in advance....but I'm sure glad I did!
  15. Just point and shoot..... ..oh....never mind
  16. ....received confirmation today that my t-shirt was shipped!
  17. Congrats on SDM status! Enjoy the Valor -
  18. Me too! I like the idea of wearing the t-shirts on embarkation day. We could always either change them after photos or have them laundered to wear for other photo ops later on....
  19. Steve - so glad it went well with Gramps. Now you can enjoy the anticipation that much more!
  20. Not really....but I do remember making sure I had everthing I needed before going to a meal or the pool deck, etc. 'cause it was a long way back to the cabin. Also I never really got to know the ship real well.....frequently got lost and/or turned around. But I must say I just LOVED the Royal Promenade! We hung out there alot!
