We once took tour of St. John - gorgeous beaches.....and really a beautiful island. But I don't do beaches....don't even bring a swimsuit when I go on a cruise. Sad....but true.

I'm definitely interested in an excursion in Antiqua - never been there. I'm on the list for St. Lucia. I've also never been to Barbados. The other ports I've been to before. Joey - good choice to just walk around Willemstaad. Lots of shopping opportunities and very picturesque. They also have that floating market there - very cool!

no dear check into flying into fort Lauderdale (FLL)rather than MIA ok...told'ya i needed help! Sorry, I thought you meant the airport of origin too, Joey. I did check into FLL and, as you said, it's not cost effective since you get a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel and flying out of Miami is a shorter ride to the airport from the terminal.

Good advice at looking at alternative airports. I was thinking of looking at flights from Flint - it's just an hour north of us. Detroit's airport is about 40 minutes away so it's not that much further.

In searching the airfares myself I came upon the same thing! Traveling Mon. - Thurs. is much cheaper. I want to get there Sunday also for the same reasons. One time we almost did miss the ship because of a flight arriving late into San Juan. We made it on board about 45 min. before sailaway. The flight was booked with the cruise line but they'll still only wait so long. We met somebody who did miss it and had to meet the ship at the next port. They met the ship but their luggage didn't.

well, i can't "swing" that... Me neither!
