Great tips guys!!!.....and great stories Andrea....as usual On our last cruise I had pre-ordered 2 bottles of wine and they were there in our cabin with 2 glasses and a corkscrew. I only drank it in the cabin. On Princess they let DH bring a 6 pack of beer on board at one of the ports. He went to claim it and they just waved him on through. You never know

And here's what you can do: 1) pack your own corkscrew 2) if the waiter even hints at charging the fee, pull it our of your purse and let out a big sigh. 3) I'll bet the fee goes away. Good idea DH just wants to "sample" the local stuff.....I don't know.....he just asked me to ask you guys

Thanks guys I know when we sailed on Princess last time DH bought some liquor on one of the islands. He stuffed it in his knapsack and it went through security just fine.....the bottle had a plastic cap. Shhhhhh don't tell anybody

We have never sailed on Carnival before. Hubby likes to purchase local beer and/or liquor while in port. Do they strictly enforce the rule? Are there different rules for beer and wine? We'll be sailing on the Valor. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
