My wife is very orgainized. Starts packing abouth 2 week before we leave.
We pack on ship the last afternoon. All the dirty clothes in one suitcase. A couple a cruises ago my wife put a plastic flower in with the dirty clothes to come home..We got a good laugh after we got home as security had checked the bag!

Being on vacation we usually eat both breakfast and dinner in the dining room. I love being wated on and you usually meet some good folks at breakfast. Lunch is pretty much a hit and miss affair. Buffet, sandwich, pizza, or skip the whole thing!
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Ft Lauderdale-Airport North twice.
They provide transportation from the airport and to the cruise port no charge. Can't miss their van, it has pink flamingos around the top of it!
One of the best things about a cruise is the fact it is not easy to get hold of us. We have cell phones with us but never call. When we cruise we totally get away from the every day life!
The best thing we have learned about packing is don,t pack items you aren't going to use! Each cruise we get better at that. We pack by each days iterinary, and love the "hang-up" bag.
WOW! That's tough. Duration is first with us. Living in the midwest it costs so much to get to the ship you have to make it worth getting there and home

Thanks Lisa, great review.
We are planning a transatlantic in 2009. Had not thought about the time differences. That made up my mind which way to go!

Our favorite crew member was on a cruise we took in Sept. Miss Catherine worked at the wine bar. We never had wine from this bar but Miss Catherine made a really great vodka martini. There was three of us and Miss Catherine made about 3-1/2 drinks. She made me sip each drink to empty the shaker She always had a big smile and seemed happy to see us. I was always happy to see her!
My favorite cruise ship so far is the Carnival Liberty because it was such a neat cruise. Actually all the ships have been great. Must be easy to please!
