The Crazie Explorers Visit BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
dino1pa replied to cruisetarp's topic in Let's Talk Cruise!
ok Mary Lou, I will check on the shirts, but with only 10 shirts needed they might be a bit pricey. If they get to cost in the neighborhood of $20.00 will they be affordable? I will a price and allow everyone to decide weather or not they would like to purchase them. -

Hello Everybody; Mary Lou. Excellent review and information on my favorite town Boston. I think that seeing the amount of time available to us that day, the trolley seems to be the most convenient way to see the sites. By the way everyone there are 3 Cheers based bars in the Boston area, 2 of them back to back at the Marketplace, and the original one (fasade only used for the show) directly across from the Boston Gardens. Mary Lou; You just let me know what is required of me to partake on the group tour. Sorry to hear about the latest cancellation. How many shirts do we need now? I am planning to contact the printer this Saturday. / -
Hi Mary Lou; My wife & I are very familiar with Boston since we've been there noumerous times. We get all around the city on the T their public transportation system. That is how we have become familiar with all of the things that city has to offer, and it is quite a lot. The last time we were there last year we did the trolley tour, and I got off several times for pictures. Just let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Yes Mary Lou there will be a few of those Mango Tangos consummed by me and you of course, I do not know if you like those, My wife on the other hand is into her wine & beers, so she can join all of the others in the group who partake on those. It is sounding like a lot of fun & less than 6 months! -
Mary Lou : in Boston in my opinion, the best bang for the buck is the trolley tours, There are several of them to choose from and one can get on and off as many times as one likes to visit particular sites, or one can just stay on for the entire tour. Also there is the Boston Duck Tour ( very popular) so sometimes tickets are hard to come by, but if one can get on one of those tours, they are a blast..... If one likes baseball there are tours of Fenway Park everyday for around $ 12.00. For those that prefer adult beverages & munchies there are an array of Pubs, Restaurants & and yes Mc Donalds for those who like fast food. Boston offers many different choices of things to see and do, for every taste. I hope I was helpful, any further assistance about Boston please don't hesitate to ask. If I don't have an answer for it, I will research it and pass it on.

Good Morning Fellow Crazies! Hey just because I don't care for Lobster does not mean that my wife will not part take, She will probably be joining you Rose and those others who enjoy their Lobster. I on the other hand can enjoy Fish & Chips perhaps, or a Burger if that's what is in the menu in Our lunch stop. No McDonalds though! I ' am not loving it that much. Ps. my wife will also part take on any adult beverage being enjoyed. I will stick with my fruity Drinks. -
Good Morning Everyone! Mary Lou: The Q E 2, in Boston? That will make a great photo op for of Us who have never seen her before. I only hope that She is docked close to our ship, Since photography on the port area is frowned upon, Usually. Boston happens to be my favorite stop of the cruise. That will be my 3rd time that we visit there this year. I always try to go to take in a game in at Fenway at least once a year. ( Go Soxs ! )

Ok Mary Lou, I am getting the cameras ready! Are we doing any excursions in Maine? I've never been there, so it would be nice to go see places that I can photograph... -

Hey Mary Lou, the excursion you mentioned sounds wonderful, and the cost seems fair, no more expensive than anything the cruiseline has to offer. I say count us in. When do we need to pay for this? -

Hello Everyone; Mary Lou; Just let me know what is the cost of the Excursion, and I am in. I am looking foward to getting some great photos at the Cove.... -
Hey Mary Lou; My wife had a suggestion concerning the hotel situation. If you were to contact Royal Caribbean, could they perhaps help with some Hotel info that could be helpfull to locating the right location and a hotel? It may be worth a phone call. The Newark Airport area could be pricey & not too safe when it comes to the groups automobiles. I lived in Elizabeth for many of years, and I would always have somebody drop me off, rather than leaving the vehicle there. That area there is known as a car supermarket for car thieves. I hope this info is of some help.

Hello Everyone: I just have a couple of question for those on the Connie that took part on the private excursions. How much more expensive is it to take one, in comparason with the ones offered by the Cruiseline. We are trying to compare and decide. We have not booked any as of yet. I will await your reply.

Hello everyone; That sounds good Mary Lou, If you come up with some interesting excursions, I will check them out. That being said though , would rather do the excursions with the cruiseline, if for some reason the excursion is late, the ship will have to wait on you, with someone else you can become a native... We are sill holding on to the hope of joining this cruise, it will all depend on our finances & if Our home does not need any further repairs, If that happens We might have to step out as well. We normally have to save for a couple of years to do a Cruise, and We just came off one recently. So we will see what happens.

Hello Everyone! Sorry I have not been around, I've been sick, Now my wife is sick. I will get around to chenking on T-shirt prices for a smaller group. By the way my Daughter will not be joining us, due to Her financial situation at this point & time. Maureen & I however, are still in. My daughter tryed to see if anyone was interested in sharing a cabin, but had no luck. She cannot afford the cabin alone. As for Excursions, I checked with the Cruiseline and they seem to have some good ones. Although We have not booked any yet, We will soon. Deb; I would be interested on that excursion You mentioned in Halifax. Mary Lou: Just let me know when You post your suggestions for Excursions.
