Hi Mary Lou- The grandkids are gone, but I'm off to work at the Red Cross shelter from 1-6. I'm a volunteer nurse and they need help covering. I promise I will post later!!

Good morning, Mary Lou- We have 3 grandchildren; all girls!! Our oldest son is Scott and his wife Monica, Alex (who will be 10 on Sept. 20), Ashley (3) and Aubrey (18 1/2 mos). Our youngest son is Mark and he is a confirmed bachelor! They both live here in Charlotte. Lee and I have been married 37 years. I hope your breathing is really doing well and you can make the canal. I know you really really want to do the ferry!! Have to run... I am a red cross volunteer nurse, also and think I am working in a shelter tomorrow. We had a lot of flooding from Fran. Have to get things done before the girls arrive! Have a great day and I'll try to "pop" in when I can............

Hi Mary Lou- you mean the one posted on the thread? yeah, I watched it and posted; really made me want to do the ferry, but realistic there is no way Lee could have a full day like that. At least, he can nap in the afternoon while we are in Gatun Lake and be up and functioning for Cristobal Pier. If we like it that much, we've talked about doing the full transit eventually. Have a good night. I am really tired and we are getting the grandkids for a sleepover before school starts.

Have to blow off steam!! There are certain people on our cruise that aggravate me! Has to be their way.... I am almost done with the other place! I don't know if they mean it that way, but they come off sounding high handed to me and have from the first. I think that's why we don't have many posts. As far as B2B, we were told it was not considered a B2B and we were on our own as far as getting luggage from 1 ship to the other. I know the other couple was told differently so we will see. We have it just about worked out anyway. Don't care how, we will be so excited that it is finally here and we are actually going, nothing else will matter!!

Good morning! Just woke up and got my coffee. I looked at my countdown clock and noticed I am down to double digits for my Majesty cruise; which means the Jewel is not far behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info on Celebrity. I never see any sales, like on RCI. Do you every get sr discounts or residency specials? I am so sorry the meds didn't work for you; I know it must be frustrating. DH has similar problem. His rheumatoid arthritis has gotten considerably worse and if he is having a flare and takes a pain pill the medication completely knocks him out. He hates taking them. That's why we like cruising so much. He can be as active or sedate as he wants.

Hi Mary Lou- We are not big on dressing up every night. Do you have to on Celebrity? We think we may do a Celebrity after we reach diamond, but I've heard the benefits are almost non existant. Oh well, we cruise to cruise not get stuff. How is the pain? Did your company leave? Hope you all had a wonderful time!!

Hi- Forgot to ask you- have you been on Celebrity before? Did you like it? We keep waiting to see if their loyalty program is going to change; heard it would in August. After we make Diamond on RCI, want to try Celebrity.

Hi Mary Lou- Good report at the eye Dr. My mother has something called Fuchs dystrophy....a genetic eye condition that will eventually cause her to go blind if she does not get a corneal transplant. Her sister has it, also and had the transplants. Then, my sister has glaucoma so I dutifully have eye checkups. To add to that, I can't see worth a darn. Good news! I must have gotten all the good genes as everything checked out okay. I am going to try contacts. Used to wear them. Sorry to hear you are still having so much trouble with the shingles pain. I have heard it lingers sometimes. It sounds like you have a houseful! How wonderful for you they still come to visit. Hope you have lots of good times with them!!

Good luck at the Dr's. Keeping my fingers crossed she has something in her bag of tricks to help you!! Have fun with your company! I just looked at the countdown clock and am excited we will finally be in double digits this week. Our cruising friends from England are visiting us Sept. 20 for 2-3 days. I would love to have a get-together once we are onboard! It would be absolutely astonishing if we were to get 9092, though! Have to work tomorrow and Wednesday so I don't think I will be back until Thursday; those 12 hrs. days are killers, but I love what I do. Have a good next 2 days and hope you are pain free!!

That looks so good! Isn't it amazing how slow the time goes waiting for a cruise and then how fast the time disappears once you are on!! That's the only thing I hate about cruising.....the time on the ship just disappears!

LOL! That's exactly how I feel right now about the creatures. I have quite awhile yet to change my mind! No matter what, for that price, we will go on the excursion and have fun!! Are you doing any specialty restaurants? When we were on Enchantment there was 1 night that we (I)didn't want anything on the menu in the dining room. Ended up with some chicken soup which was delicious. We had tried to book, but nothing was available. We were on a waiting list but never got called. Planning to do both Portofinos and Chops, but I guess we will book when we board. Have a good evening!

MaryLou- I'm glad you're having a good day! Hope you have more. I'm hoping the grandkids don't mind our house not being decorated.....they won't be here too much. My DIL offered to have Christmas there, so we quickly took them up on the offer. I will be working 12/23, 12/24, 12/26, 12/27 and 12/28 so won't have time to decorate or enjoy. It sure will be different not having a tree... I'm excited about booking that excursion; just hope I don't chicken out. Even if I don't swim with the stingrays, I will still see them. Yeah, we're glad we are doing it. Have a good day!

Hi MaryLou- Glad we can talk somewhere. It certainly is a quiet thread on the other place. I think we are going to just walk around and go to the beach for awhile in Aruba. Don't want to rush out at 7 am and since we have to be back by 2 (now that we leave at 3) ;don't think there is too much time. We are planning to bring Christmas lights and decorate our deck!! I also am looking for a table sized Christmas tree to put up. We won't be decorating the house this year; first time for that. Talked with the kids and will have Christmas at their house. I wish the time would hurry up and then when we get on the Jewel I hope time slows down!!
