Since we have Disney World planned this year, we are taking 2 cruises in 2010: in April of '10 we have an 11 night Mexican Riviera planned on Radiance of the Seas and then in November '10, we have a 5 night planned on Radiance again; this time going out of Tampa. Gotta love those Radiance class ships!!

So glad to hear people are on top of this...personallly i would hate to have a cruise booked to Mexico right now.. however with that being said.. you can't live your life in fear...Common sense.. use protection.. and you should be fine.. (Sounds a lot like sex) LOL!

Just found this : Airlines including American, United, Continental, US Airways, Mexicana and Air Canada said they were waiving penalties for changing reservations to, from, or through Mexico, but have not canceled flights. On Sunday, Royal Caribbean spokesman Michael Sheehan said the company is "closely monitoring the situation," but has not changed any of its cruise itineraries.

No travel restrictions are issued currently, but that could change, she said. CDC officials said Sunday they would begin handing out “yellow cards” at airports with information about signs, symptoms and ways to reduce the chance of acquiring the virus.

"Swine flu is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A flu viruses, the CDC's Web site says. Human cases are uncommon but can occur in people who are around pigs. It also can be spread from person to person. Health officials are concerned because people appear to have no immunity to the virus, a combination of bird, swine and human influenzas. The virus also presents itself like other swine flus, but none of the U.S. cases appear to involve direct contact with pigs, Eberhart-Phillips said." From what I am reading, the flu in Mexico is hitting ages 25-45 the hardest; very interesting in my opinion, as they are the healthiest, usually. I wonder if that age person delays seeing the doctor until very sick....

I've been trying to follow this pretty closely. I hope the cruiselines would follow protocol and guidelines for any outbreak. I don't mean to preach, but I strongly encourage everyone to follow good handwashing technique and any cautions you took during normal flu season.

Oh, Jackie, I so agree with you. It gets almost frantic having to run and make appts. for everything, check out your table in the dining room, order flowers and choose different "packages." We're tired before we start. What a nice additiion!

Hi Mary Lou, Peggy & Mike- Mike- welcome! Glad to have you on these boards. You will really like it; no one is nasty! Finally got both computers talking to each other. My brother helped Lee and figured it all out for us. I can't believe it has been 3 weeks since we boarded. We have so many wonderful memories of the cruise, thanks to all our new friends. Haven't gotten our pictures online yet, but will try to this week. As for putting away clothes, that may take awhile! Stay in touch............. Martha
