Your comments help to lower the level of hysteria that seems to pervade the media every time there is an engineering problem or a few cases of Norovirus on a cruise ship. It's as if the media is drooling to destroy the big, evil cruise companies You are a welcome voice of cool, calm reason!

    It was an honor to serve in the United States Navy! Now, my 18-year-old niece is at Navy boot camp.....she's going to be a gas turbine engineer! I couldn't be more proud! Meanwhile, I am preparing to fly to Singapore in October and rejoin the ms Amsterdam on her annual Asia/Pacific Grand Voyage and sail back through the familiar waters near Indonesia, Australia and the South Pacific. I sailed the Seattle to Singapore half of the voyage last year.....SUPERB in every respect! GO NAVY! Best Regards, Nick PS -- Still can't seem to get that link for "Cruise Travel" to work.
