  1. Hey..James! Hope you get your user name squared away.
  2. Hello murr! It's GREAT to see you posting.
  3. Welcome aboard jadon! ... just kidding.. hi James.

  4. Looks really cool thus far! Thanks Jason!

  5. That spices things up a bit. If it's offered we will have to mull it over. 150 sounds cool but 300 for the both of us..well... if it's as huge as all that DH might just like it. I'll remember that if it's offered on my next Princess cruise. Thanks!!
  6. Carmen have the time of your life! Happy Anniversary!!!
  7. Donna thank you so much for sharing your wonderful adventure in such a fashion. You should write travel columns in magazines!

  9. Have a FANTASTIC time!!!!
  10. We got back the night before last but yesterday and today have been super exhausting so I'm just now getting back into the swing of things. I did feel better and we spent a few hours sight seeing around our old neighborhood. Didn't get up through Santa Monica like I wanted but there is always next time. Nice to see traffic hasn't changed. As far as Mexico what we were told by the captain is.... They must go to a foreign port for whatever reasons having to do with the ships registry outside of the USA. When the swine flu hit and they had to cancel the Mexican ports Mexico would let them just cruise by and someone would boat out to the ship (officials) to sign whatever they needed as proof of the foreign visit. They were lenient that way because the WHO still had Mexico on the taboo list I guess and were understanding. As of last week though the WHO officially took Mexico off the taboo list so Mexico said if you want us to board and verify your foreign port visit you gotta dock. Carnival then chose to go ahead and let people off the ship. We did still receive our onboard ship credit as promised. Steve and I did not get off the port. I should have but I was already not feeling great by then. I just had this horrible picture of us being the very first ship allowed to dock and people get off and getting nearly assaulted by all the vendors (God bless them). Just didn't feel like going through that. It was crazy people said... but folks were getting good deals. We want to do a Princess cruise tour next to Alaska but it will likely be a while. Glad I'm home.
  11. Wow! This is awesome! I had some time before getting back to my room and DH but glad I ran across this. Just fantastic!!
  12. Have a wonderful time! Cannot wait to hear all about it. Happy Anniversary!!
  13. Hi guys! We are almost back. I must say debarkation went really smooth. Our cruise director was not the funniest guy until the last day it seemed. He would have been a real hoot if he had applied himself the entire trip. My stomach was acting up before we went and I was worried about it. I did feel better the last day and 1/2 but by then it was kind of too late. There wasn't nearly the cool stuff to do this cruise as compared to my RC cruise. I think things were just fowled up by the enexpected schedule change and the weather. We knew it was going to be June Gloom around the coast but a few days were just worse. Because of how I felt and my mood I took very few pictures. We got off the ship and went straight to the beach which turned out to be a good thing. Sun yesterday, not today so here I am typing and saying hi to you rather than being out at the hotel pool. We are staying in La Jolla. We leave tomorrow at noon and will probably take a scenic route up through LA ... kind of in the mood to at least drive by some old haunts before heading on back to Vegas. I will be back tomorrow late night likely....trip over. Want to try Princess next. Good to sort of be back!
  14. Hi everyone! Getting ready to go eat AGAIN! Haven't been feeling well and think I figured out it was motion sickness or who knows. Yesterday we were woken up by the Captain to let us know Mexico said enough is enough! If you want credit for visiting a foreign port you gotta dock and guess what? You can get off. We did not go onshore that day but instead went out and enjoyed the deck. I of course called even while he was still making the announcement to make sure we still got our on-board credit like promised. Of couse we still do. It's been fun so now off to San Diego for a couple of days. Weather was awful today so maybe tomorrow at the beach will be better. Hope I feel better. Haven't had a drink in two days. Took the medicine and that made me so drowsy we almost missed dinner. hahaha Will talk to all of you later.
  15. Thanks Falina. It's funny....I'm wondering if this is a normal thing but I feel like everything will be measured better or worse against our first cruise. DH was even talking about going back to the Enchantment sometime in the next decade just for the heck of it. I told him sure but for both RC and Carnival we wound up with smaller ships because of the specific location we wanted. There are sooooo many bigger and better to fall in love with. I did think it was cute. At first we were not even going to get off the ship at Catalina but since no Baja we did. I didn't choose any shore excursion but I mentioned to Steve that the only thing I was interested in was maybe an inner island tour so we did that and actually had a nice time. Lots of buffalo. Scenic too. Go figure! Well....I guess that's my internet allotment for the time being. I'll check in tomorrow after I sleep in if Steve will let me.
