  1. We've never not cruised with kids. Does that make sense? Kids love to cruise but take along things they love to do if the ship doesn't have a kids program. Not sure about your ship, but hopefully it has a pool, good food, and shows.
  2. Admitting your addiction is the first step. Glad to meet you!
  3. I’m pretty sure you can’t start getting the perks mid-cruise – you get to be at the new level when you start your next cruise. That's what I thought, but not what I hoped!
  4. On a related note, if a cruise reservation crosses the threshold to the next level, will RCI honor the higher status or make you wait until after the cruise until upgrading?
  5. Your cruise history may also be available on Royal Caribbean's website as well as the point total. Thanks to Swath for posting the formula though. I wasn't sure how the conversion worked.
  6. Jan, I'm sure I missed this earlier, but would the Group Cruise possibly include a Group rate?
  7. The Magic and Wonder will be pretty old by then so good thing their building new ships.
  8. Pretty port. Not sure I want to sail on Carnival to get there though.
  9. Full refund and 50% off next cruise seems like fair compensation. Glad Royal Caribbean's trying to make it right for those people.
  10. I read that on Friday. Great news. Would love to sail on that ship.
  11. I know this thread has been going for a couple years, but I wanted to asked if this is still true: Diamond on Royal Caribbean automatically equals Elite on Celebrity?
  12. Thanks Debbie. Tough decisions, but no wrong decisions.
  13. Can anyone offer a comparison between the Mayan Ruins of Belize (Cahal Pech or Altun Ha) versus those in Costa Maya (Chacchoban)? Our next cruise includes stops at both ports, and we're trying to book excursions. Trying to decide which ruins would make a better visit if we have to choose only one.
  14. Glass bottom boat tour might be a fun way to spend your time. It's been awhile, but it seems like it was a cheaper excursion than most.
  15. Always sad to read these stories. I wonder why the cruise lines don't add life guards? Probably something about their liability.
  16. Unfortunate how the cruise ended on such a sour note, and how RCI customer service didn't make it right again. Good to know that C&A will help when necessary.
  17. Tough reading this review and the comments. We're trying to build up loyalty points with RCI and are cruising one of the older ships in March (Vision of the Seas). Sounds like RCI is heading downhill though.
  18. Great review Jan. We had many similar experiences on our recent Med cruise. If you read my review you could see that I had the same disappointments with the Serenade of the Seas noisy atrium. I also discovered that I had to use the walking track early if I wanted to use it at all, due to the same reasons that you noted. And, as much as we tried to avoid a carpet presentation in Turkey, we somehow got roped into one. That's really great that you had the opportunity to tour the Sistine Chapel and Colosseum in a small group. Your room near the Pantheon also sounds like a special treat.
