The ship probably would have done just fine, if the captain hadn't rammed it at full speed onto a bunch of rocks during his "Showboating" stunt. But maybe the lawyers involved know how to design a better ship. Just saying...

I agree Jackie and Ray. After flying around in Iraq, I'm not to worried about a port stop in Greece.

I'd also like to see more policies aimed at expectations, training, and testing of the bridge crew's role during the crisis.

Tim, I will also celebrate my 50th that year, and so will Sharon. I don't think you can take a train to Europe from Long Island, but you may be able to drive. The big thing for us, is that my younger son will graduate high school that year, and my older son may graduate college if he cracks down. June is a good time of year for us to cruise, and we've been talking about Europe for awhile. I'm glad Jan is trying out the new Royal Princess, because I like those itineraries. Hopefully RCI will have some competitive itineraries as well.

Okay, I found the article. And a reminder on why I don't visit that site very often.

Early June might work for us. We've never cruised the Med, but all the places you listed are on our wish list as well. I'll definitely be following this as the details fall into place.
