  1. I think it depends on the cruise line. On the Emerald Princess last month, we were required to bring them.
  2. Jason, we'll forgive you for not knowing where you were at. That's usually a sign that you are having too good a time to worry about it!
  3. Howard, I too have thought about it. But that's as far as it has gotten so far.
  4. Shari, we booked our air through a AAA travel agent; but the problem has more to do with Frontier and how they treat their lowest fares. Although we booked the flights nearly a year ago, they would not assign seats until we checked in. How hard is it to assign seats to someone who has already paid their fare? Frontier used to be one of my favorites, but since Republic bought them, I've noticed some differences - not all of them good.
  5. Sounds fun Jackie. We probably won't cruise next year. We want to go to a resort for a week and do things on our own schedule for a change of pace.
  6. Jason, I saw some of your pics on FB. It looked like you and your friends were having a blast.
  7. Yes MaryLou, I did get my luggage the next morning. Otherwise, I would have looked a sight on formal night with my tux and Dock shoes!
  8. Don't know about the new ships, but there are no casinos on the Disney Magic or Wonder. They are a classy cruise line though.
  9. So true Debbie. We took along clothespins so we could hang things on the backs of the balcony chairs. Nothing tacky, as it was dark and we positioned the chairs so our laundry was hidden. You can check out "Ex Officio" brand. May have been on Travelsmith.
  10. MaryLou, we made a conscious effort to cut back this time, and found that you can get by with less. We went so far as to purchase quick drying undergarments that could be washed in the stateroom and hung out to dry. I rented a tux for formal nights, which was around $80, but I did pack my own cumberbund/bowtie sets so I could customize. For a family of four, we got by with three suitcases, and four carry-ons. We did pack video camera, waterproof cameras, beach toys, etc., and allowed room for souvenirs - which included a couple pretty cool shirts I purchased in the islands.
  11. I hope you two have a great trip Ray!
  12. Thanks everyone. It's sure to be a good time. MaryLou, I was planning on letting Crazie chaperone Heather. Is that a bad idea????
  13. Ed, not sure if I can recommend it just yet, but we're staying at a Rodeway Inn that has shuttles to the seaport and airport. It's convenient, but I'm not sure yet how nice it will be. Will let you know in a couple weeks.
  14. Wow. I'm with Keith on this one. I'd like to cruise the Hawaiin Islands some day, but not on NCL.
  15. We also like to buy Christmas ornaments when we travel. Just a little reminder of places we've been, when we're decorating the tree and it's snowing outside.
  16. Have fun Steve. I'll be right behind you.
  17. Good news. More options to choose from down your way.
  18. We buy them, but not as many as we used too. The best way to cut down is just take them all on one night, and skip the rest.
  19. I hope they rebuild the pink building.
  20. Disney provides a good cruise, and the ships are very classy. But they cost more than some other lines, and still have a limited itinerary. Hopefully with their two new ships they will begin to branch out a little more.
