  1. Joey, I just notice under the similar threads at the bottom there is another discussion about Johnny Rockets...
  2. Dana, we did the Conquest in May of last year. Have a great time, regardless of you may stop along the way.
  3. Dino, looks like you got that CruiseClock working. I can almost see the little ship moving.
  4. I'm wondering about the families who book their first cruise, not really knowing what the theme is... Might be in for quite a shock when they wander into the "hanky panky need a spanky party.''
  5. More stats... Gross Tonnage 138,279 Length: 311.1 m (1,020.6 ft) Beam: 38.6 m (155.5 ft) Passengers (normal): 3,138 Passengers (maximum): 3,840 Crew: 1,181 Service speed: 22.0 knots
  6. but that IS THE MARINER? Yes, but a mere yacht compared to the Oasis.
  7. Joey, I borrowed that pic from shipparade.com. Hope you don't get lost on there!
  8. Carmen, your ship awaits you. Have a great time.
  9. Joey, I'm glad you were able to take advantage of a good deal; and I hope you and Carmen have a great time on the Mariner. (try to find out if the staff have any good Jackie stories to tell. )
  10. Since you've made your clock, the next step would be to copy the link for your clock. Then, click on My Account (up above), Edit Signature. In the text box for your signature, click on the Insert Image icon. It's underneath the Fonts box above, just to the right of the green plus sign. A User Prompt box will pop up, where you need to past the clock link that you copied earlier. Then click the Update Signature button, and you're in business. (I think ). If that doesn't work, you may have to send a Personal Message to Jason, the site administrator.
  11. I'm not even sure you can fly to Mexico at this point.
  12. I think I am experiencing cruise envy.... Have fun on OAS. Wow.
  13. Falina, are you still taking that road trip out this way through Cheyenne? I really like Cheyenne...very windy though. My favorite Wyoming town is Cody. I really like Cheyenne, but I love Cody. Hope you come through there.
  14. And where did you go from there Janniebabe?
  15. I think that Carnival's offer of alternate itenerary and $75 onboard credit for already-booked passengers is a fair offer.
  16. I guess it might depend on how much the line is saving, if anything, on the modified itenerary (i.e., port fees, etc.) They're struggling enough already, wouldn't want to see them take too big of a financial hit.
  17. One of Colorado's first reported cases took a cruise and spent time in San Diego. Not sure which line or which ports she visited.
  18. That's what I was thinking Jim, but it is misleading in the article. They're automatic, but not mandatory.
  19. Good summary. Thanks. Seems like a good time to visit Cozumel. Not many other tourists. A thousand miles away from Mexico City. 12 miles from the mainland. No reported cases of swine flu...
  20. it couldn't have been because she indicated it was an all inclusive cruise... no main line cruises offer that luxury..( that i know of) I went back and re-read that part. He said this happened on the Carival Glory.
  21. I end up buying the pictures too, but I don't feel "assualted" as the guy int the article semed to feel. I consider it a service that I don't otherwise take advantage of back home. Three options for the poor guy: 1) don't buy the ones you don't like, 2) don't stop to look at them, 3) don't sit for them. It's like the bar, the casino, or anything else. OPTIONAL And who's charging a mandatory gratuity? I've yet to come across that. Is that an RCL thing?
  22. Chalk one up for the Russians.... Tue Apr 28, 5:23 pm ET MOSCOW (Reuters) – A Russian warship captured a suspected pirate vessel with 29 people on board off the coast of Somalia, Russian news agencies reported on Wednesday, citing defense ministry sources. Russia's Admiral Panteleyev anti-submarine ship seized the vessel 15 miles off the coast of Somalia at 1212 GMT on Tuesday, the Interfax and RIA Novosti news agencies reported. "Seven Kalashnikov rifles, various pistols and an aluminum ladder were discovered during a search of the ship," RIA Novosti quoted the source as saying. Satellite navigation equipment and a large amount of ammunition was also seized. "This allows us to assume that this group of pirates undertook two unsuccessful attempts to seize the TF Commander tanker with a Russian crew that was traveling through this region yesterday," RIA quoted the source as saying. Russia is among several naval powers with warships in the area to protect one of the world's busiest sea lanes from spate of hijackings by Somali pirates. 23. Hey Steve and Ed, how do you like my new cruise ship design? Do you think Carnival or Royal Caribbean will build one?
  24. I found a picture of the M2 in case Cheryl or Andrea want to buy one. Does anyone see a picture here? When I posted during lunch, it showed up; but when I got home it was gone. Did you take it Cheryl(GW)? The reason I asked about the ammo was because the cartridge for the Browning M2 is pretty substantial and packs a heluva kick. The Browning mounts on a tripod, so you don't really feel the kick; but from the picture Ed posted, it looks like the Barret's stock is designed to fit against your shoulder. Ouch.
  25. Skipper, I've fired the Browing M2 .50 cal a few times, but I've never had my hands on this Barrett model. Does it take the same rounds as the Browning?
