Two weeks? Dana, it really seems like you should have them by now. I think when we sailed the Conquest last year, we had our doc's about a month out. Is there an agent or number you can call? Are you getting eTickets, by any chance?

Probably not at this point in my life. If I were young and single, I might enjoy being part of the bridge crew.

Relative to what the analysts predicted, it is not as bad as it could have been; but if I were their CEO, I wouldn't be breaking out the champagne over a loss.

Hmmm....almost sounds like they should have paid extra for daily linen service.

Rose- Most of them go in albums. We have one album for Sharon and me, and one for each of the three kids. The only cruise photos on the wall are on the stairwell, where we have one 8 x 11 group shot from each cruise we've been on next to a photo of each ship. Remember though, I haven't been on nearly as many cruises as you or Ed.

A very unappealing thought, but it concerns me as well. Here's what I posted from a previous incident:

Ed: The photographers and bar tenders love me. Andrea: Thanks. That's what I meant. My problem is, once the pictures are taken, I have a hard time leaving any of them behind.

Debbie, since we're not good about getting professional family photos done at home, we always get lots of ship's pictures of all sizes and themes. We spent at least a thousand dollars on our last cruise. The ships' photographers are good, and our kids change so fast.

We try to get a Christmas ornament, if they have any.

Very good point Keith! My biggest concern is normalization of diplomatic relations. I worry about how an American arrested in Cuba would be treated; but then, I'm one of the guys who said the cruise lines ought to drop Jamaica til they clean up their act.

Someday, but I don't think it's safe yet. Under a future regime, perhaps; once the Castros are long gone. An American being arrested in Cuba would become an international incident right now. I'd prefer to see stronger diplomatic relations in place first.

Good topic Joey. And good, thoughtful answers. I think it does come down to the personal service you get from each crew member you encounter, more so than how many piano bars a ship has, or how good their live shows are. Even at today's rates, cruising is a significant expenditure, and most people have some expectation of individualized service. If you're left with the impression that you're just another cruiser, then I'd say that falls short of the mark regardless of the cruiseline or ship.

I voted yes, because I think Jamaica could do alot more to increase the security of their visitors. The threat of going a boycott might be what they need to make the investment.
