    Thanks to all for the advice. Sharon got her blood clot seven years ago when she was pregnant with Heather (along with gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and "all day" sickness). The doctor put her on Coumadin permanantly. Living at higher elevation doesn't help things. She will check with her doctor, and hopefully find something she can take. She hasn't had motion sickness on our previous cruises, but with a much smaller boat (40-60') she is concerned.

    Wishing you a relaxing and fun trip Joey. Alaska is awesome. I don't think you will regret getting an inside stateroom. I had a deck, which saw very little use. You'll have full access to the rest of the ship; and spending that money instead on 1st class plane tickets was a smart move.

    Have fun Jackie and Tony! What an exciting time to venture out onto the seas. You guys are going to have a blast! Jackie, I know you're packing, so don't foreget that "little nightie." (Although it will probably spend most of the trip lying on the floor.) I'll handle it...slap slap.

    On the Daily Dock, several of the Crazies talked about what they take for motion sickness. I'm just curious if anyone currently taking Cumadin has also used motion sickness meds. My wife is on Cumadin (Warfarin), to prevent blood clots. She is going on a sailing yacht cruise next June, and is worried about the motion on a smaller boat. She does plan to discuss with her doctor, but I'm just curious if anyone has already checked into this. Thanks.

    what the difference between a gown and a fancy dress? Could it be length? I always think of gowns as long, like something Scarlett O'Hara would wear. But what the heck do I know?

    Probably not. I've often found "free" things to have too many strings attached.

    For Joan's sister, who lives in Sarasota, it's worse than that: right up the WEST side of Florida. So far, the sister is very calm about it. Well Joe, I guess it didn't matter after all. East coast, west coast...south coast. Fay's gonna cover all the bases; and everyone will get wet. Watch out Panama City, here she comes and she's a b****.

I'm just sitting here having a glass of red wine, and laughing out loud at the song countdown. If I'd gotten here earlier, I would have voted for "Elvira" by the Oak Ridge Boys.
