I also just tried one at our Chili's restaurant. I very rarely drink pop, but when I do I prefer real Coke (or Dos Equis...) You can add a variety of different flavors just to zip it up a little. It was kind of neat.

Wow - Can't believe how many posts I have missed in regards to this cruise - how exciting! Jackie - I am with you with late seating or anytime dining. And since Princess is my favorite cruise line, I would love to do the new Royal. The only thing that bothers me about many of the Princess European itineraries is that some of them have virtually no sea days at all! I think that would kill me! I'm like you, Ray, wondering how this worn-out knee would do...plus my DH's screwed-together foot. But then again, we did 6 hours of hiking a day in the Galapagos - so we would try to rise to the occasion. Still, a couple of sea days would be very very nice. And we definitely use the buffet as an option on late and long excursions - sometimes just not able to make the effort to gussy up for the main dining room. Can't wait to see how this cruise plays out.......

Well you guys did a good job of quelling my fears about Turkey....I'm game but....still favor Venice if we have to choose between the two. I'm fine with June but can consider other months - would definitely want to stay away from July/August if that is when they are all on holiday over there! Ray, you have been there - I haven't so I bow to your experience!

Jackie, I think June has to do with Ray's piano lesson schedules.... I am interested in knowing the differences in prices for the months - I would assume July/August are more expensive? Would June be comparable to September or more/less......I shall get on the ole computer and do some research. We are not tied to June so would like to be able to consider price.

This will be our 40th anniversary year and maybe.......hopefully.....our retirement year - Whoo Hoo! So we are definitely wanting this to work out. Absolutely want Venice, Rome, Florence....which port for Pompeii? - that one, too and was kind of hoping for Barcelona.....Dubrovnik, anyone? Would love to see a sea day or two thrown in there, too! I've never been anywhere on mainland Europe so I'm pretty open and convincible! I'm with you, Kevin on RCI - I like their itineraries for this year so odds might be in our favor. I would also consider Celebrity or Princess...maybe even Holland if the deals were good enough!

I think they certainly should have offered more OBC right from the start... But more to the point for me is........do they do this often? I would be very leery now of trying to book at the last minute with no specific cabin available....
