Kevin - you and I must have been posting at the same time. So, Brycyp - we both agree - you should try St. John's!

Brycyp - From St. Thomas have you thought about taking the ferry over to St. John's? It is mainly National Park and very different from St. Thomas - beautiful natural setting with a great beach - Trunk Bay, which usually makes the Top 10 beaches list - and lots of walking trails. The ferry leaves from Charlotte Amalie frequently as most visitors to St. John's are daytrippers.

Hi Brycyp! You will have to be sure and post a review when you return - I am curious about cruising on that huge ship! Have you been on that class of ship before?

I am not against drinking, but alcohol related deaths far outnumber deaths from sinking. Maybe cruiselines should be a bit more proactive when it comes to serving passengers who are obviously drunk. Howard & Cindy I really do agree, Howard! Obviously intoxicated passengers can really create havoc. They can put the whole ship at risk just like that passenger who dropped the anchor! I would think the risk of fire (if they smoke) would be greater as well. I've been told by some crew members that they are reluctant to cut off a passenger because that would "anger" them and then the crew member would be in trouble.... not sure quite what to make of that!
