I intend to write one after every cruise. I actually get it written and sent off about half the time. I always mention the good and the bad in every letter. I usually get a very personalized response back from Carnival (the only line I have sailed with). Occasionally I get a "45-day letter" for a gift on my next cruise. Didn't get one this last time. I think they are tightening their belts at Carnival and not giving them out anymore! I know, I shouldn't write the letter just to get the gift, but it's a nice incentive to get it done, isn't it?

Yes, I agree. I have a bikini just like that and it works for me every time!

Dang it! I knew I had something important to do Dec 15!!!! That personal assistant is SO fired! Better go make sure the personal jet, helicopter, and Rolls are gassed up and ready to go! Gotta go get my cabin before JoanandJoe get the primo aft wrap!

How's the ponytail going?

That is too sad! But a little funny! You wouldn't believe how many hats DH lost off the back of our ski boat when we had it! Now if you had had a ponytail like I do, that would have acted as an anchor to keep that danged hat on!

I don't know if I would go so far as to make cruises all-inclusive, but I do think they should give cokes and juices free of charge. At least the cokes. How much does it really cost them to do that? C'mon loosen the purse strings a little!

So when you register for the site are you automatically entered for the cruise credit?? It didn't say specifically and after the confirmation email, it took me to another thing to win some "lounge hats." Don't really care for one of those -- NOT a chair hog!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! yes, this addiction is something the entire family benefits from. No one is pushing me into rehab. You won't find me on an episode of Intervention! This looks like a fun site! I hope to be participating a lot here!

I'm not sure my first cruise is really considered a cruise, so I'll list my first two cruises. First was on SeaEscape out of Port Canaveral in 1987. This is a day-trip gambling boat. This was a high school band trip. Yes, they kept us out of the casino but could not manage to keep us out of the alcohol! I stayed up on deck most of the day just enjoying the view of the ocean. Loved every minute of it. I didn't know that I was hooked until a few years later when . . . A good friend announced to me that she was going on the Fantasy with a girlfriend of hers. As soon as I heard about it, I knew I had to join them. I begged and pleaded for them to let me join them. This was in May of 1991. The ship was only 1 year old and we visited Nassau and Freeport. I was absolutely hooked! I have been on 8 cruises since then, all Carnival. My good friend has been on several herself, different lines. We haven't sailed together since then, but someday I hope we will have the chance to. Over the years I have been on Girls Cruises, family cruises, spouse cruises, and honeymoon cruises. They have all been WONDERFUL. The best vacations I could imagine. In about a year and a half we are planning on experiencing our first "scout cruise." My oldest daughter's Girl Scout Troop is planning a 7-day cruise for their Senior trip where they plan to deliver sporting goods to the kids of Jamaica.

Hi all! We will be sailing on the Carnival Triumph out of New Orleans on 01/09/2010. We are looking for anyone who will be sailing with us. We are an almost-40-year-old couple (eek) from Katy TX. We're leaving the kids home this time. We are looking for another 7 great days aboard a Carnival Fun Ship!

I'll be on the Triumph 01/09/2010. Would LOVE to hear what kind of changes they made in the dry dock!
