Since 1995 me and my familiy live in the northwest of Germany near the town of Papenburg. In this town many cruise ships are built in the Meyerwerft shipyard. One day I started making photos of these fantastic ships. And it became more and more ;-).

The next step was presenting the photos in the internet in a small gallery. And it became more and more ;-).

So one day I created my cruiseship-gallery.de. In the beginning only outside photos were shown and twice I could be for one hour aboard two RCCL-ships when they were built.

In 2005 NCL wanted to make use of two of my photos and asked for the price. My price was the permission to take interior photos from the Norwegian Jewel. So me and my wife were invited to spend one night on the ship and I took many photos.

Meanwhile more than 4000 photos are presented in the gallery, I could documentate some very fantastic cruise ships and I am heavily infected by the cruise ship-virus :-).

Still we had only one or two days trips on cruise ships but hopefully one day me and my wife and maybe two of our six children have a longer cruise.
