  1. Linda, I am indeed packing to cruise down the Chesapeake en route to Canada in September. It's a nine-day cruise from Baltimore. I used to hang around Rockville a number of years ago, but I'm now living on the Eastern Shore. BTW, my Punta Gorda was not very scenic - just a small port town at the far edge of Guatemala.

  2. Thank you. It's nice to be here.

  3. Welcome aboard the CruiseCrazies ship!

  4. Hello Shaunna. Thanks for the welcome.

  5. Thanks! It's great to be here.

  6. Hello and welcome to CruiseCrazies!

  7. Ray - that cruise sounds awesome - if you tell me it's in the fall and you'll see all of the colors - I think I will pass out. When you mentioned the Wye River it brought back memories of visits in that area and seeing the huge Wye Oak (I think I heard we lost it a while back - but could be mistaken). Also, thought of Beaten biscuits. Haven't had them in ages! I remember the Congressional Rink well also, but I was more into Ice Skating at Cabin John Ice Rink.

  8. Yes, Linda. Booked the cruise yesterday. Down the Chesapeake, up the coast, visit Bar Harbor and Portland, then New Brunswick and Nova Scotia before a stop at Boston and return. BTW, my house is on the Wye River, which runs into the Chesapeake about 15 miles south of the Bay Bridge...

I used to go to Congressional Skating Rink back in the days... competing in state and regional skating competitions, so many fond memories of Rockville.

  9. Thanks Ray. Nice to find this forum. I'm sure that your Punta Gorda was much more scenic than mine - would love to see that part of the world one day. Are you really planning a cruise down the Chesapeake? I was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland and will always consider Maryland to be home.

  10. Welcome to CruiseCrazies, Linda! I cruised to Punta Gorda one time, but mine was in Guatemala!!

  11. Thanks - looking forward to hearing about some great trips and getting ideas for future cruises.
