  10. Yes a blown prop, On the NCL SUN Eastern Caribbean cruise in Dec 2010 heading to St. Thomas, Diverted to Samana Dominican Republic, not a fun place after that we crawled for 3 days back to Port Canaveral with a short stop on NCL private Island, Oh where the passenger's T-Off. No refunds were offered just a 30% off our next cruise on NCL. We still Haven't collected on that offer!! scalise12

  12. DebbieandJerry, We to have been talking about cruising the Canary Islands and Portugal, BUT NOT ON NCL!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have one cruise left on NCL booked in November and we can't wait to get it over with. Remember my written review on our Hawaii trip back in Feb. We don't need a repeat for the money we spend on cruising. I'll stick with Princess, RCCL, Carnival and Holland America. Remember to Fly The Flag This coming weekend!! scalise12
  13. Good Morning Nathaliec24, First time no problem. May I suggest Carnival for the first time, Reason why, Good value for your money also to see if you like cruising and to get a feel for a party atmosphere, Carnival offers a lot of 4 day cruises that you may want to try first from Tampa, Port Canaveral , Jacksonville and Miami and also 7 day plus cruises also from these ports including Port Everglades in FT. Lauderdale, Now if you would like to try Royal Caribbean they also offer 4 day cruises from Port Canaveral and Tampa and I do Believe out of Cape May in New Jersey. Check with both Cruise Lines websites, You might want to check Norwegian cruise Lines (NCL) website, but for a better value for your money Carnival and Royal Caribbean, and if you find you love to cruise try Princess Cruise Lines and Holland America. All the Cruise lines have some type of In-ternary for everyone all depends where you want to go and visit and length of time. Now if you are driving to any port for a Cruise by car the ports do have parking for a fee. Also You can talk to a Vacation Planner from the Cruise Lines or if you belong to AAA or use a Travel Agent to book your Cruise, They will all help walk you through your booking and arrangements for your Cruise. Nathaliec24, we are here to help, My partner and I will be going on our 29th Cruise to Alaska next month any questions you may have please ask away,OK! Happy Cruising scalise12

  15. I have read the last to posting, I was wondering do you work for NCL? Reason why I ask, is because when I was with the Airlines our sales reps would do the same thing post articles on websites like Cruisecrazie.!!!! scalise12
  16. We are starting to book more on Princess, Holland America and RCCL!!, Carnival is good in price and the food is good ,but Like we said we are booking with the three mentioned in that order we are finally finding what we been looking for on a cruise lines, NCL forget about it. Good Question scalise12
  17. Hello to all of our fellow CruiseCrazies Friends. Jackie and I are having some problems getting Information on the following ports. And where wondering if anyone can help with things to do and see. Helsinki Finland Hamburg Germany Cork Ireland Inverness Scotland Liverpool U.K. Some of these ports have two different docking areas, some are close to town and some are not. We are on a small ship for our cruise any information would be very Helpful We Thank You & Happy Cruising scalise12
  18. We would spring for the balcony, not a inside cabin person, In a case like this to answer your question. We would be looking at longer cruise's 30 day plus or back to back cruises on the same cruise lines. John & Jackie scalise12
  19. In a HEART BEAT!, Did you know in some cases it's cheaper to live on a cruise ship than your own home or assistant living home, We know and met One person who lives on a cruise ship she loves the being out at sea. We have thought about a few times and also did the math. John & Jackie scalise12

  22. Hello cruzngene51, You can check with Carnival and see what they might recommend you might be able to get a group rate, or try Hotels.com, priceline.com or tripadvisor.com Also pick a hotel chain to see what they offer for a group rates and possible tours. Also for sight seeing try this tour company, we use it, The price is right it's called (viator.com) They have a hop-on-hop off bus tours all day long. Keep in mind New York City has so many sights to visit. This is important to ask you, is your cruise going out Manhattan or Brooklyn? If we can help out further, Please ask. Good Luck and enjoy. scalise12

  24. Your are right, free hotel shuttle's are not allowed, when we were in PR 2 yrs ago, fares from the airport to our hotel $25.00 min one way, from hotel to post about $20.00 min one way, the cab drivers own the Island. these fares do not include tips!! and we are planning a cruise from San Juan again and including cab fares in our budget. scalise12
