  1. Some may, if they were in compartments sealed off from the sea. But for the others, fish and seawater-immersion likely have combined to disintegrate the bodies. I would think no soft tissue would remain or be identifiable, although there may be some skeletal remains. Probably, the victims will remain "lost at sea."
  2. ...and I wish them good luck with that!!!....but I'm not expecting much. Carnival has a huge fleet of ships of varying age, shipbuilders, types of propulsion systems, and types of fire protection. The task of revamping all those ships will take awhile, and cost a fortune. In the meantime, the questions remain: After "Splendor" was disabled by an engine room fire, what contingency plans did Carnival develop and implement for the next time that happened??? Hmmm??? Anything? Or, was their contingency plan, "Hope it doesn't happen again!" Well, it did on "Triumph", and everything I read points to "no plan", other than a case of red bio-hazard bags the crew pulled out of a corner in a storeroom to pass out to passengers to use as a toilet. Then they ran out of those, too. Personally, I will not sail on Carnival again, until I'm convinced they've made major upgrades in their maintenance and safety.
