  1. Hi Jan! Hope you have a fantastic cruise aboard Crown Princess! Can’t wait to hear all about it – especially Amber Cay!
  2. I knew I was exhausted, but didn’t realize what a busy year of travel we’ve had until I really looked back at it. We took 10 trips, including 7 cruises (3 in Europe!), and traveled for 66 days in 2017. January, Carnival Valor from Galveston with an extra day due to weather. February, trip to Las Vegas. April, western France river cruise roundtrip Bordeaux aboard CroisiEurope’s MS Cyrano de Bergerac. Discovered Saint-Emilion, probably our favorite town in France! May, trip to Wisconsin. June, trip to Washington DC. July, Danube river cruise Nuremberg to Budapest aboard Viking Gullveig. October, Harmony of the Seas to the Western Caribbean. Disembarked in Ft Lauderdale, boarded Carnival Liberty in Port Canaveral the next morning. (And went into work for 10 of the 20 hours between cruises!) November, Christmas Markets river cruise aboard Viking Atla (plus 3 nights pre-cruise in Prague) with 34 friends and family members. Everyone had so much fun we’ll be doing a Rhine river cruise in April 2019! December, quick preview cruise aboard MSC Seaside. I’ll be fine with a little less travel in 2018!
  3. As we begin 2018, take a moment to reflect on your cruise and travel experiences of 2017. What cruises did you take and where did you visit? Do you have a favorite cruise memory from 2017? Did you learn a new travel tip last year? Happy New Year everyone, and Happy Cruising!
  4. Sounds amazing – more places for the list! (And now I’m thirsty…) Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the review, Larry! Did any port or shore excursion really stand out for you?
  6. Hi Jan! Hope you and your husband have a fantastic cruise aboard Norwegian Sky! Can’t wait to hear all about it – hope she still has all that wonderful Hawaiian décor we love!
  7. Hi Gladys! Hope you and the hubby have an amazing Moody Blues cruise aboard Celebrity Eclipse! Can’t wait to hear all about it!

  12. Hi Jan! I’m guessing this bon voyage is for your 12/2 sailing aboard Norwegian Epic. Have a fantastic cruise!
  13. Great cruise – they don’t call Carnival the Fun Ships for nothing! Delicious food, wonderful crew, good entertainment, no complaints!
  14. Norwegian Bliss ~ October 20, 2018 ~ Looking forward to making lots of new friends on this cruise while reconnecting with tons of old friends!
  15. So I’m guessing they each have their own phone. You can download the Carnival Hub app for free, then sign up for the “chat” feature on board for just $5.00 per device. Should be cheaper than buying radios and save the girls a little embarrassment.
  16. Hi Tim! What ship will you be sailing and how old are the girls? There may be options other than walkie talkies.
  17. This year, for the first time ever, we’ll be cruising over Halloween and we desperately need costume ideas! I’m sure the ship will have things going on too, but we’re part of a large group having a big costume party and there will be prizes! A few thoughts: The party is outdoors and it could be warm out, so we’d like to avoid anything too heavy or hot. A “couples” costume idea would be good, but not mandatory. We’re driving to the ship, so size and weight aren’t deal breakers. Please include photos of your ideas if at all possible. Thanks in advance for your suggestions! Happy Halloween and Happy Cruising!
  18. The cruise lines are literally part of these communities. It’s heartwarming to see how much they’re contributing to the recovery.
  19. We’ve been on the first ship into port after a hurricane before. The locals were all at their jobs and working hard regardless of what condition their homes and personal lives were in. They need the income from tourists more than ever after a disaster. We eat in port rather than going back to the ship, buy souvenirs we normally wouldn’t, donate to local charities, and tip substantially more than usual. It’s the least we can do to support these wonderful destinations.
