    Our first cruise was aboard Carnival’s Jubilee. A couple of days in, the ship was diverted so a woman who had gone into premature labor could be sent to a hospital. Near the end of the cruise an announcement was made that mom and new-born daughter were both doing fine and that the baby had been given Jubilee as a middle name. Today is that baby’s twenty-first birthday. Happy Birthday Jubilee, wherever you are. Hope you’re having your first legal drink on a cruise ship!

    Hi Gladys. Sounds like an awesome cruise! We’re thinking about a river cruise in Portugal for that time-frame, but we haven’t booked anything yet so you never know! Happy Anniversary and Happy Cruising!

    We know a guy from Chicago who was on this cruise and elected to get off when it returned two days early. He couldn’t get a flight home from Florida but drove to Atlanta with some friends and flew home from there. Said the cruise line handled everything quite well.

    Hi Deb! We’ll actually be getting off a ship in Miami while you and Ron are boarding Carnival Glory – we’ll wave as we pass you! Rest assured, Carnival will have plenty of holiday decorations and festivities. I expect the performers from the showroom will pop up singing carols throughout the week and I wouldn’t be surprised if Santa paid a visit. All you need to do is relax and enjoy. Happy Cruising and Merry Christmas!

    We’ve always had several pets and would miss them too much – it’s hard being away from our furry family members for even two weeks. If we lived on a ship with a repeating itinerary, we could volunteer at animal shelters in the ports to get our animal fix, but that’s just not the same.

    Yeah, extra days on a cruise ship (for free!) sure sounds wonderful, but if my home were in danger I’d rather be there to try to protect it.

    In other articles I’ve read, the passengers were not disappointed or particularly concerned by this. There was still plenty of entertainment inside the ship and everyone enjoyed their cruise.

    Wow, MSC Cruises is really cranking out the ships! They have ten new cruise ships planned to set sail between now and 2026. I know most of them will be based in Europe, but I can’t wait to see what new innovations they’ll bring to cruising!

    The ship won’t do anything to put the passengers in danger, so you may end up visiting different ports. Be prepared to be flexible. If the storm is in Tampa on Monday, the ship may leave a day late (or even a day early). I’ve seen folks get fantastic deals when they can still make the ship for an altered itinerary. If you’re ready to relax and enjoy, you can have a great cruise no matter when or where it goes!

    Explorer of the Seas ~ September 28, 2018 ~ This is a Pacific Coastal cruise from Seattle to Astoria, San Francisco and Victoria, BC. We’ll be cruising with a group of friends and family and are really looking forward to this cool itinerary!
