I've already warned my 26-year-old daughter that she may be the "baby" on our mom-daughter cruise coming up in October.

I love thrift shopping. In fact, when shopping on vacation and everyone hits the usual gift shops, I had for the local second hand places, though - like you - Sarge I haven't looked for anything in particular relating to cruises. But, Shon, you've given me a great idea! I have a couple of freebie T-shirts, but mostly I have gotten those from the bargain tables the last day of the cruise. It always seemed like a good idea at the time, until one day I realized I don't even like t-shirts-LOL! So if anyone is looking for cruise shirts, just ask!

Are you craving an hour or two of pampering at the spa while on your next cruise, but not sure if you want to spend that much money on yourself? With all the exotic treatments now available, spa beds are filling up, especially on sea days when passengers look for ways to fill their time with relaxing activities. While spa appointments can conveniently be booked in advance from the comfort of your own home, you might be wise to wait until you arrive on board. Port day specials - one price for 3 treatments, for example - are offered on just about every sailing. You can enjoy the serenity of the spa if you choose not to go for a tour or if you simply want to stay on board. A treatment can be priced as much as 40% less on a day in port when there is less demand. Port days specials are well-advertised at the spa, in the daily newsletter, and in special flyers left at your door each evening.

Love Boat was shown on the cabin TV every afternoon at 4 while aboard the Grand last month. My husband and I were newlyweds in 1977 when Love Boat was on followed by Fantasy Island. I knew someday we'd cruise - just didn't think it would take 25 years!
