Also - I noticed your cruise is this month, so prices at this stage of the game for air will be through the roof not to mention college spring break season will sky rocket those prices. Check Southwest, but seats for March are probably gone. Enjoy your road trip!

Yikes ... $1400. Was that per person, coach? I don't know if it helps where you're flying in from but Southwest has a promo right now starting at $59 one way. Look at it this way - you'll build in a pre- and post-cruise road trip! Sometimes getting to the ship is more complicated and expensive than the cruise itself.

We are cruising from SFO at the end of July - but too early for the new terminal to be open.

Somebody goofed, big time! Something very similar happened when we pulled into the port in Rosyth, Scotland (Edinburgh) last summer. The ship sat in the harbor for about an hour because a freighter was parked in our spot. Apparently, there was a mixup in the port schedule. Fortunately, they were able to move the freighter out of there and we were able to dock. If not, there would have been a lot of unhappy passengers, as this was the highlight of the cruise for some people who had tickets for the famous Edinburgh Tattoo.

Not surprised, Jason! People are generally smart, and aren't going to let a few setbacks keep them from their love of cruises.
