  3. Hi Crazie Bear! I see that you have not had the pleasure of cruising on Ocean Princess. Well, I am officially requesting the honour of your presence on our 8-day cruise around the British Isles. You will need to hurry, though, because we leave July 31!
  4. Congratulations on the upgrade - sounds like a sweet deal!

  16. Welcome Brian! I hope you will come by often and share some of your insider secrets. I haven't read your book series, but now I am very curious!
  17. I try to sever my Internet habit while on a cruise, but feel that if it's offered, it has to be faster than what's already on board. I agree, it will certainly boost the price as well as the speed.
  18. Cruise ships are becoming more and more like mini theme parks. Not sure I like the trend.
  19. Hi Chuck - it's great to have you join us on the friendliest cruise boards around. Look forward to seeing you often!
  20. Stacey, nice to "meet" you. Hope you'll come by often!
  21. We are booked on the Royal Princess for a 12-day Mediterranean in July-August 2013. Ports are Venice, Athens, Kusadasi, Istanbul, Mykonos, Naples, Rome, Florence, Toulon & Barcelona. I am a little concerned about the turmoil in Greece, but we'll see what the next year brings. Any feedback on any of these ports?
  22. When I was browsing Facebook today, I was reminded of the "Ship Mate" Apps available for IPhone. Some of you may be aware of them, but for those who are not, there is one available for most of the major cruise lines, and I downloaded several to my iPhone. I find them to be handy resources while cruising or when planning a cruise - especially the deck plans. Highly recommended! Check it out here (click on the Facebook link) or go to the App Store and download. Works on both IPhone and IPad. https://www.facebook.com/ShipMateApp
  23. Jackie, the Freedom Trail walk can take a couple of hours to just about all day, depending on how many stops on the way and your pace. The best thing to do is print out a map before you go, and depending on your time, pick a section to walk or, better yet, I believe there are guided tours which might be better if you are on a time schedule.
  24. I live in NE and am most familiar with Boston. Boston is amazing and very walkable - so much to see - where to begin? Here are my favorites: The Freedom Trail is a wonderful way to revisit the historical past of Boston. A Duck Tour is lots of fun, you ride in a real WW2 amphibious vehicle, and the guides are excellent. Another favorite of mine is the North End, the Italian neighborhood. Great food, lovely neighborhood- you forget you're in Boston. Fanieul Hall and Quincy Market are very popular with tourists and also very crowded, especially mid day. If I can answer any other questions, feel free to ask.
