This is a good article with great reminders on how to avoid getting sick - not just noro, but the flu, as well. It's so true. Cruise ships have become the poster children of noro virus and unfairly targeted by news and social media.

OK, so I had to see this for myself and found the video on YouTube of these ridiculous, thoughtless idiots looking for stupid ways to have their kicks. What's the matter - not enough entertainment to keep you busy on Symphony of the Seas??? Doesn't say if the jerk was allowed back on board to get his stuff - I hope not. And how do you get back on board, when there's no record of you getting off? Or did he think this through beforehand and take his key? ?(warning: foul language):

How awful. ? Another article mentioned that the young man may not have had his key card and was trying to access his balcony from an adjacent one (presumably a family member’s cabin), lost his footing and fell. I feel so sad for his family.

Small luxury ships, free air/hotel/transfer package, free beverages/mini-bar/room service, free Wifi, free specialty dining, and a selection of free excursions in every port - it’s all included. No nickel and dining. Sounds good to me!

I don’t think cruising sucks, but I do agree it has changed a lot in 20 years. The ships are getting bigger and swankier, and today’s cruising multi-generational families love the idea of a floating resort at sea.

I’ve grown to like Norwegian cruises, and I’m especially interested in the sailings from the Northeast. The itinerary on the Dawn from NYC to the southern Caribbean islands looks very appealing. I like that size ship and love that I wouldn’t need to fly anywhere.?

I do envy those folks who live within driving distance of all these great cruises. ?

Not being familiar with it, I looked up South Padres Island and it looks like a pretty place with enough activities available to keep cruisers happy ... island cruises, watersports, nature refuge, fishing, water park, beaches, etc. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
