Just to bring us up to speed, we are now looking at the 10-day Caribbean Princess, August 9, 2019, Quebec to New York cruise. The media has to stop using the term "fell" off the ship and start saying "went overboard". Glad to hear of her amazing survival. Too bad it was for an incident that could have been avoided.

There is a reason why cruise lines are now calling them "service charges" now, rather than gratuities. A gratuity or "tip" means showing appreciation to crew members for great service. When gratuities are an automatic, set rate, it sounds more like a service charge. Thus, the "service charge" was born.?

Love the idea of extended port stays! Celebrity has been doing this for a couple of years, as well as Princess, and I hope the trend continues. ?

Not sure how Blue World Voyages will pan out, but pretty much anything Royal Caribbean adds to a ship is a success. With the trend toward health and fitness nowadays, their WOD on the Waves cruise should be a winner.?
