Good grief. I live with a chronic snorer. I think next time, I will complain about the loud snoring from the guy next to me and ask to move me to a suite. ? There are annoyances on every cruise - the snorer, the hacker, the door banger, the bellower - are we going to sue the cruise line for every one of them? By the way, I carry ear plugs wherever I go.?

Since I wrote this post 5 years ago, I have been carrying on for longer cruises, as well. The problem with carry on bags, however, is that everyone wants to carry on, and the overhead bins are jammed. Depending on the size and type of the aircraft, there may not be enough room under the seat for the second "personal" bag (laptop, etc), and even if there is, I have long legs and need room for them. For instance, this past 7-night cruise in Europe, I managed to fit everything in a carry on bag but ended up checking it, anyway, because I needed the leg room for the 6-hour flight.

Sandy, enjoy your cruise. We LOVE Bermuda, and have been several times. We are cruising there again in August, on the Norwegian Dawn from Boston. It's closer for us than NYC. Have a great time and report back when you return!?

You'd think that a community full of cruisers would have no trouble agreeing on a cruise - LOL!?

It's so easy to forget to turn the data off, flip it to airplane mode or shut it off. I've done it a few time myself. I'll switch my data on in port using my phone provider's international plan, but when I get back on board and we sail away, forget to turn it off. Whoops! Fortunately, I remember before we're too far gone. But I think some people come on board with their devices and don't really pay attention to how they're going to work on board and internationally - especially kids - and it's up to the parents to monitor their usage.

Love those low key cruises for a nice relaxing change of pace. Exactly why I’m looking forward to Bermuda in August!

I was in a minisuite on a 2-day cruise to nowhere a couple of years ago on the Breakaway. I wish I could remember more about it, but it was my birthday, we were partying, and it’s all a blur now. I do remember, though, how nice the ship was - a vast improvement over the Epic.?
